Last year there seemed to be two major IL pools. There was also some discussion about the scoring method to use. I'd like to see one bigger pool again this year, so lets get agreement on which pool to use and the scoring system decided.

Fibonacci sequence makes the most sense, as it doesn't give the winner to the person who got the final four perfect. But, that part is still VERY important.

I love the format where, instead of filling out a bracket, you pick one team from each of the #1 - #16 seed lines. Not only do you need to evaluate the four teams on each line, but there’s a strategy element in deciding on picks. Do you take your #1 - #4 picks from four separate regions to increase your chances of multiple Final Four picks, or say, take a #1 and #3 from the same region to improve your Final Four odds for that region?

This is also a great format for picking Cinderellas. You have to pick teams seeded #10 - #16 so you can pick that 11-seed you think may go on a run to the Elite Eight, but don’t want to take the chance filling out your bracket that way.

You still need to allocate points per round like this poll (Team Fibonacci here!), but this format is a nice change of pace from filling out brackets.

Any volunteers to run this years pool? CBS seemed to have a reasonable interface. The preference seems to be Fibonacci scoring.
