Predict the Number of TD Passes for 2019 Brandon Peters

#28
29 TD’s . . . With 7 Ints . . . on 301 attempts. Calculated using the extremely accurate EAG method*

Using Formician Logic**, I come up with 27 TD’s (7 to date, average 2 per game for the remainder of the season) and 8 Int’s on 320 attempts.

*Exponential Air Grabbing
**Formician Logic - to lay one’s data upon the Formica countertop and attempt to derive a pattern or trend.

28. Rod goes for that school record.
If teams continue to favor stacking the box against us - ie fear Corbin, then passing TDs are going to be the way to get there. So far we are light years ahead of our receiving talent in the last x (when was Benn here?) years.

If Smalling continues to want to be the man and BheBhe and Barker continue to be big man threats - I think we're going to have to take advantage where we have the skill and our skill level has definitely evened out (run/pass). Let's face it, we couldn't catch crap over the last few years without Mikey. AJ knew his talent was running and so he took off as soon as he was given an excuse - which was much better odds for us.

Knowing our luck, Peters will set the school record for TD's while winning only 5 games. That would be very Illinois.

I'm worried this will be a little aggressive due to injury potential and massively improving opponents....but I'll go with 23 touchdowns. I would be over-the-moon with that total. I'll feel a lot better about this prediction if he racks up another three TDs against EMU. This exercise (and go over the history) is making me come to terms with how bad Illinois QB play has been in the past quarter century but also how much better Peters has been playing.

The school record is only 27? Who are we, Navy?
If anyone else was interested:

I will go with 54 doubling the single season record. Peters declares for the draft after wining the Heisman, leaving us with IW to lead the way to our 4 year run as national champs. Kool-Aid out.
Now thats drinking the orange coolaid but I like it. 🏈

I like it.

I've been telling my Clemson fan buddy that Peters is gonna dissect the Tigers defense with his precision passing in the NCG.

3.5 average through 2 games, minus 2 avg once Big Ten play starts...

21 TDs give or take 2 in either direction...

19-23 TDs on whatever the average attempts is. Guessing we have one or two games where we will pass a ton when the run game gets stuffed...?
