Hard to feel good about either. They both have a lot more to play for. But as this team goes, if we are hitting 3's we can beat about anyone. If not, it's over.

Anyone hitting threes can beat anyone.

Hey, I'm one of the most loyal Illini you'll find. There isn't a piece of clothing that I'm wearing that isn't Orange and Blue--except for my pants, and they're Blue jeans. (Yes, even my socks and skivvies). So et cetera and so on.

Right now, after driving home from game, I'm tired and disappointed and losing to Rutgers by not playing until the end...one has to wonder what John Groce was thinking.

Yeah, if it's televised in a way that I can watch, I will. I won't give up on the guys. But something has to give, and it comes down to the coach. And eventually, to the athletic director.

Ask Malcolm Hill
Yeah, I know. I feel for Malcolm. I really do. And the rest of the team. And for John Groce. And the Illini Nation.

If you think it was bad watching it on TV, when it was over, you just had to pick up the remote. I'm still down from walking out of the RAC this afternoon among all those grinning Rutgers fans, knowing that we had just lost to the 146th ranked team in NCAA men's basketball. Sheesh, Rutgers. :(

Hey, I'll still support them. I'm the one wearing the "Illinois" skivvies.:illinois:

You all are joking right? I would love to see the boys from Illinois win out, not reality though. Thanks for the laugh.

I'm sure you would have said the same thing about Illinois winning 4 straight at the end of the regular season, too.

Future reality doesn't exist yet. 3 wins is possible, and only one of them is much of an upset.

In the win against Michigan:
  • Illinois shot 64% from 3
  • Mav led Illinois in scoring with 16 points
  • Kipper and Lucas nearly had double-doubles
  • Jaylon Tate did not play

In the loss against Michigan:
  • Illinois shot 17% from 3
  • Mav had only 6 points - Hill was the only Illini in double-figures (16)
  • Kipper and Lucas got minutes (17 and 15 respectively), but Lucas was unable to chalk up the assists and Nichols failed to grab the rebounds like they did in the home wins.
  • Jaylon Tate had 20 minutes off the bench.

one rung at a time. Let's take care of Michigan and move on to Purdue.

Yes, you are right. I would have said the same thing about a four game win streak. I told my wife weeks ago I am done with this rollercoater ride, but I cannot help myself but keep watching and cheering the Illini on. I do hope Malcom and company can get in to the dance, I just dont expect it anymore and that my friends is how low this program has fallen.

Michigan pounding Nebraska by 30 at Nebraska. Let's hope they don't shoot 3s Thursday like they are tonight.

Derrick Walton had 16 (school record) assists tonight vs. Neb. Also scored 18 pts. He's playing as good as anybody in the B1G now.

This game is winnable. That's about all you can say. So just win it. And if so, the next game is not.
