Hate watch of the year^^

If you haven't watched analysts bring up 2 year old data points and compare Penn State to Duke...then this video is for you!
All of the fans of these 'other' conferences will bring the hate, until their team is on the verge of being left out during a conference realignment... Then they'll be begging to join the B1G... Most of it is just plain jealousy and envy...

Well, the pass rush is going to be tested, as will the corners. Not sure what to think at either position. If they can't get pressure up the middle, they'll double/chip Jacas and without pressure, the corners will get torched. Patterson had his troubles versus WIU. He has to be better.

I think our offense will score a bunch, but our defense seems ripe to let up a bunch.

I think it's 35-31 in either direction.
They have a relatively unproven left tackle. Their right tackle is really good, but lining up Jacas on that left side as much as possible seems like the best recipe.

I'm a little surprised more hasn't been made of it but I bet this is a big game in Altmeyer's mind.

Diaz introduced Altmeyer to pressure. Altmeyer and Illinois flopped.

Redemption time for Altmeyer and a chance to show how much he's grown.
I mean... Diaz was the DC for Penn State when they had Chop Robinson and Abdul Carter. Not to mention, our offensive line that year was put together with krazy glue and dreams. I am not putting a lot of stock into that year or game... We played a way more aggressive and way more talented front seven in the Citrus Bowl and Luke was calm, cool and collected. Illini by 14.

If you needed a new villain, Pete Yanity with Clemson media is your man.
Email or contact this guy to let him know how you feel! I emailed him. Google his name.

Where is Jeff Thomas today?
After being cut by the Patriots in his attempt to make that roster in'23, he made some noise in the XFL in '24. I have no idea where he is at present. He was a problem at Miami and we avoided that stink. It all worked out for the best. It was kind of a weird episode at the time, though!

I like the predictions that have us winning by 10 or less, but I am hoping mean Bret from Wisconsin shows up and we steamroll them.

Maybe he's challenged the O'line to a "pancake" competition. Whoever gets the most pancakes in the game gets free pancakes for breakfast the next day.

I emailed him about not ranking Illinois. I was not disrespectful or anything; I just asked why he was the only voter who did not rank Illinois. No response, of course. Did you also notice he did not rank four other ranked teams, but they are all ranked 20th and below (Ole Miss at 20, Tennessee at 22, Indiana at 23, and Utah at 25th), so those four are a little more understandable, but not Illinois at 11th. Ridiculous.

Patterson, Cox, Jr. and Xavier Scott are our starters obviously - we likely see more Tanner Heckel who the coaches really like with Clarke out, he becomes the 4th CB most likely, Tyler Strain still available as well
Miles Scott did play the * vs WIU. Wouldn't completely rule out a lineup of: Resetich, Bailey, M Scott, X Scott, Cox. Pecking order wise, that's your top 5 secondary players.
