I do like that we’ve trended from Luke is our starter because players can’t lose starting spots to injury (except for Love I guess) with insider spin that Paddock’s performances have been overrated in the beginning of the week to a game time announcement of the starter on Saturday.
Are things really trending this way, or is it subterfuge to keep Iowa guessing until game time? We'll know soon enough. . .

For all the times Ferentz ran up the score on us for humiliation sakes, I would really like a convincing victory on their field.
Sounds good to me! On my wishlist...I want to see QB Hill throw 100 mph inaccurate darts when down

We are 3-4 point dogs on the road. Win first, win big 2nd

if over 125 people know (players and coaches) , there is NFW this is kept secret until game time
this is all smoke screen, as is should be

Your mileage may vary on them, but the Illini Inquirer podcast approached their game preview as if it's a foregone conclusion that Paddock is starting.

They’ve been much better than us for 20+ years. That’s fine, I can accept that.

But they’ve also been, pardon my French, f****** pr**** to us for no apparent reason, from 63-0 to knocking out our quarterback when the game was in hand and cheering about it. And I realize it’s a different sport, but the whole Crush thing last year too.

I want this one bad.

make no mistake, 99% of our fanbase HATES Iowa sports.
This gets difficult sometimes because just about all of us have Iowa grad neighbors, or family, or kids of friends who are , as its not a bad school for someone to go to who was turned down to Illinois.

I just hate their football and mens basketball teams, I dont hate the school .
Winning finally last year was sweet, but we need to repeat .

Look up the 1952 game when they were throwing apples at the team when they left the field at the end of the game.

I thought it was items worse than that - why do I want to say it was d cell or 9 volt batteries ?
regardless, at some point in the 1950's , the B1G stopped scheduling us and them and some 10-15 years went by without us playing them
