Yes, we have to beat NW. If we lose to NW, then all the momentum goes up in smoke. They are atrocious this year. Just my opinion, I don't feel that I'm overstating it at all.
We still have a bowl game. I'd rather win that game if we have to pick a loss

We are going to need our D line to generate a pass rush otherwise we are screwed. We cant let Stanley be comfortable, he will just pick us apart if so

How would everyone assess our defensive line on a 1 to 10 scale?
Is recruiting targeting defensive lineman?

After this year it's a little scary. Without Betiku right now, it's at a 5 or 6 because of Milan. Losing him is going to be big. Avery needs to lose the weight and step up. He has the potential to be just as good.

So who will be healthful for Iowa game? The bye came at a good time; sure hope Illini don't get rusty.

Can we use Dre a little bit more in the passing game? The guy can do it all. Complete football player! Defensive back, too. Go for Tds, Dre!

Is anyone else surprised that Iowa is a 2pt favorite over Minny

Minny has yet to play anyone decent on the road. Only won at Purdue by a touchdown and took 2OT to beat a mediocre Fresno State team. They're a good team, but I'm not convinced they're elite. I think OSU, Penn State, Michigan, and possibly Iowa/Wisconsin would beat them on a neutral field.

Minnesota's schedule was v manageable this year, but I def have to give them credit for their performance against Penn State. They almost gave it away at the end, but they played well start to finish. That said, I fully expect them to drop at least one, maybe two. I'm not too word about the B1Gs "image" nationally, but if they were to lose at Northwestern and Penn State wins in Columbus we may get left out of the CFP. Especially if Minnesota ends up winning the Big Ten...I don't see them getting a bid with anything but an undefeated record and pounding the winner of the east (probably needs to be Ohio State) in Indy. I don't see beating Michigan or Penn State in the Big Ten Championship doing it for them.

An Illinois-Indiana B1G Championship Game is the matchup America doesn't know it needs.

Ironically, I think this matchup - however unlikely and unsexy - would actually cause a huge flock of Illini fans to descend upon Indy. I doubt IU fans would pack the stands themselves even though it's their turf, and we would actually believe we could maybe win. In the extremely unlikely scenario where we face OSU, I could see a lot of Illini fans not wanting to go to the trouble of attending what they assume will be an ... ugly ... loss. I'd go, of course, as my sister lives downtown. :p I also went with my friends when Iowa made it, and it is actually an incredibly fun event/setting.

It feels odd wishing we weren't on bye this week because I want the team to have a chance to get a win. Usually I'm happy when we don't have a chance to lose. Love it!

Dre had a wide open touchdown in the 4th quarter when we were on the 5 yard line if Peters hadn't chosen to try to run it himself up the middle. And the moves he used to get to the 1 yard line on the final drive were a driven player. Get him and/or Reggie in space. The wheel routes are just now starting to come into play and become a very real weapon.
