Im Not No Way GIF
I sort of disagree, though I think we are looking at 5 to 8 minutes so not like he's coming in for 15 to 20. He can really breakdown a hedging defense with his quickness. If MSU can stifle Illinois early with tight (and probably handsy) defense.

1- no injuries 2- win 3- win big. 4- I hope fears does what a fears does, without causing injury. Hope he is caught for the third game in a row being America's dirtiest college basketball player. Maybe the bigten would finally act?

I’m sorry but this is nuts. We’re going to need an out of this world performance to win?
At very least, can't get off to a bad start. MSU's issues the past three games have been their start. I say out of the world performance because I believe that MSU is going to come out trying to prove a point.

I've also said that we're the more talented team. I have no doubt about that. Winning on the road is incredibly hard. I think that the refs are effected by these types of games. It's usually 5 vs 8 to begin with.

We're going to have to play great for the full 40 minutes, we're going to have to be making shots at a high clip and foul trouble, without Boz, will be a major problem.

Again, do I think we can win? Of course! That said, we're going to have to withstand that first 5 to 7 minutes.

Fawk Jeff Goodman.

Goodman literally never mentioned Wagler's name once until he had 46. Like ever. Now he tries to join the bandwagon...

Goodman has been too busy jerking his sausage all season to inefficient chucker, phony injury Mikel Brown Jr. based upon what he saw in AAU ball. :ROFLMAO: Fawk that clown. Brown has sucked most all season long.

Goodman is part owner of the Field of 68. Here is "Midseason All-Freshman team 1st and 2nd teams" posted on 12.26.25. Note Keaton was not listed on either of them despite, even at that time, being clearly one of the top 10 freshman in the country. He was approaching or even 1st team at that time as well.

Mikel Brown was shooting 38% field/26% from 3 in Nov/Dec and started suffering from his phony back injury Dec 14 but someway, somehow gets put on a 2nd team All Freshman......

Going to have to disagree with you there boss man

Oh yeah, our fans will be in a frenzy. There's no doubt about that. Winning on the road vs a team with a huge cause is hard. Extremely hard. We'll have one that night.

This Illinois team is deep and different. Illinois by 7+. Wagler is unflappable and our cohesiveness is elite. ILL!!!
The depth thing is repeated often, but it's not true right now with all our injuries. In most of our recent games, we've been playing 7 guys. Personally I think Lee is capable of giving us minutes; Petrovic maybe a few. Behind that no one. When Boswell comes back that will help.

There’s different kinds of depth - I think the depth most are talking about is that beneath Keaton we have another 3 guys (Tomi, Mirk, Andre) that all can get going and put up 20. So we’re less reliant on a specific 2nd or 3rd guy having a good game. We have multiple guys capable of stepping up, and then you combine that with one of the shooters (Jake and Ben) making a couple open looks.

We play differently based on personnel but there’s way less of a drop off 2-7 when they they are on the court vs other teams.

Well, he's an IU guy so clown is in his DNA.

Still turns my stomach that those tools won the football NC.

Of the top 124 players—as far as the list goes, for some reason—in 3-point shooting percentage, Keaton Wagler is the only player averaging 5 rebounds and 4 assists per game. Wagler is tied for 10th at 44%, BTW.

Keaton Wagler is the only player in the top 73 3-point shooters to also attempt 6 free throws per game. Again, keep in mind Wagler is 10th at 44%.

Spread has now flipped again to MSU -1.5

Hopefully our injury report is nothing unexpected

The teams that will continue to frighten me for Illinois’ sake are the Purdue and Alabama’s of the world that have an explosive offense led by a speedy point guard who can shoot.

This matchup feels very favorable — I don’t know how Sparty is going to be able to score enough to keep up. The one way I see this going south is committing a ton of dumb, live ball turnovers and losing in transition.
