National Basketball Association Sport GIF by Milwaukee Bucks

I need Z to block Fears into another dimension.
My magic 8 ball says he will at least twice. One will be on a three, which Fears will then proceed to give the biggest flop possible. High Knees will award a foul, and even after conclusive evidence of no contact...and consulting with Baldy, the call will stand.

Really want this one, both losses last year ticked me off to no ends. High knees hosing KJ and making him a non factor in what probably would have been an Illini win if he had played more in the game at East Lansing, and then what was a good game in Champaign ruined by our offense not able to freaking score for the final 8 minutes of the game.

Three keys to this game:

— Keaton don’t get hurt
— Keaton don’t get in foul trouble
— limit turnovers and GET BACK in transition

If anyone’s watched Michigan State this year, it won’t take you long to realize their half court offense is not good at all. Almost all their “good” offense comes from foul baiting and transition.

If we do all three, little to no chance we lose, IMHO.

Illinois is far and away the more talented team.
We’re winning by at least 10! Had a convo with a buddy of mine and he told me that might be under selling it

Legit question: Does the Big Ten Conference have the ability to suspend a player for a game? I don't care that it's the Illini, and I'd say the same if Tomi or Mirk did it, but what Fears did tonight is so vile. 2 of the 3 things could have been Flagrent 2 fouls.

edit for link:
Yes remember Alan Griffin got suspended 2 games in 2020

Morez went down in the home game as well. Missed a few weeks after that. Right as he was starting to figure things out.

Make sure Scott doesn’t get going from 3 and I like our chances a lot

Keys to the game:

(1) Defensive rebounds
(2) Offensive rebounds

(3) Slow down MSU in transition.
Nope. SIGNIFICANTLY more important we have Wagler on the court, considering the history we've had at Breslin.

Illinois is 4th in the nation in total rebound rate, and 5th in the nation in offensive rebound rate. Not sure why that'd concern you (yes, MSU is a great rebounding team in their own right, but so are we).

While I suggested Underwood pull a Lute Olson and start using the media to highlight MSU’s dirty play, I don’t think he will do that since he’s friends with Izzo. But he absolutely should be talking with the conference asking how the officials will protect our guys and keep the game safe.

I don't think this is gonna go well .. for them. Mirkovic will bull rush this dude the first time he tries some of this dirty play. Spartan fans aren't happy with it either. There was a particular play where MSU was starting to regain momentum and was within 5 points. Fears got dinged with a flagrant and it sent Minny on a big run. Really turned the game. They finally regained momentum but it was too late.
