One thing that makes me feel slightly better about this game and that's the fact that Illinois has had several days worth of prep time leading up to it. My vague thoughts are that BU tends to do well in games where he has lots of time to prep and gameplan against a specific team but I would love to see some data on that. Maybe a crazy project for Fighter of the Nightman?

Very challenging matchup for us, and equally challenging matchup for Michigan. This game might be very revealing, as to both coaching (strategy) and character (players).

He's doing cardio and stuff like that. I could see him doing non contact stuff like working post moves and footwork with O
It concerns me that we spend all this time developing AI and no one is spending any time figureing out how to weld up a measly fracture. Priorities way out of whack, I say...

When I say size, I mean our interior players. We have Tomi, Morez...........Ben. With no Morez, we have Tomi and.......Ben. Iowa just out rebounded us. You are right, the physicality is probably the biggest issue.

Now, we do have big guards, which makes us big, I suppose.

On Sunday, there's a good chance that we get absolutely punished in the paint and unless the guards crash....it's going to be rough.
Wolf averages 2 offensive rebounds a game . He is not going to kill us on the interior. He averages 8 defensive rebounds.

Fyi NET this morning on CBS, UI up 1 to 21 and UM down 1 to 22. So NET takes into acct how UM almost $hit the nest vs Rutgers.

20+ yr ago the Washington Redskins football team had the Hogs on the line, and 1 guy broke a wrist and had a cast/club that he played with and stuck that into his opponents throat each time he came off the line. Someone find the tapes and send them to Morez.

Roddy Gayle is 4/41 in his last 41 three attempts (including 1/24). I would double Michigan’s bigs with whoever is guarding Gayle.

I am not sure how we do it but you are correct in my opinion. Tomi has to stay behind Golden and attempt to stop him at the 3 pt shots. I would double both him and Wolf whenever possible don't let them penetrate. Our guards need stay grounded and not chase let them shoot the 3s but not dribble drive. Force make shots if they do we win. If we allow Golden and Wolf to get into the lane we are cooked, Tomi will get in foul trouble and then well say good night.

I honestly believe Morez will be available for some minutes if the game is close.. Think Brad wants this win really really bad. I really do!

Can not let them get going by Wolf or Donaldson hitting 3’s. Rutgers got real hot late in the first half. Then they went cold. Drive the ball. Love to see Goldin get in foul trouble early. To me this is KJ’s game.

In the olden days (I rode and raced dirt bikes have the X-rays to prove it) a broken bone took six weeks to heal (and what’s physical therapy?).

That’s for a compound fracture. I thought he’d be done for the season with a broken wrist.

Of course, if he had a broken wrist like I had a broken wrist, he wouldn’t have played the rest of the game.

Darn! You just tipped off Michigan they should all five on Tomi and let everyone else shoot as an optimal strategy against us. We are going to have to revoke your fan card! /s

This is a huge opportunity for us to show some consistency and resolve in a big game on the road. We have not done that in a long time now.
We should not have the excuse of no practice/prep time for this or the next one. No more excuses. Everyone(coaches and players) needs to step it up and win a big game.

Michigan will be thanking us cause we’ll dork Gayle and he’ll get his confidence back just in time for March

I realize the team can use Morez badly but one dive for a loose ball or hard foul to the floor on that wrist and he's done for probably 3 months barring no surgery. Lets play the team that we have, drink heavily and pray like Hell! I L L..
