Prediction: Illinois wins this one, then comes home and loses to IU. Much like 2 years ago when they came home and lost to a bad Rutgers team after a big road win.
I mean, who can predict what these guys will do?
Big question is do we get Randolph back. With Newton out, we really need him in there.
I know they won't fix the offense in a week but FFS can we add a couple of wrinkles with slants or screens? Something to offset the fact Altmyer never gets more than three seconds to pass.

Going into this game I was hoping for one win versus Wisconsin, MN, or Iowa,
Plus wins vs Indiana and NW.
I'm still hoping for 3 wins. With a bye week to get everyone healthy, plus a well-rested Newton in the 2nd half, I'm thinking a gopher road kill is in order.
There's a decent chance this bad Minny team runs for 200 yards in the first half with Newton out.
Gophers host Michigan State next weekend. 2:30 PM on BTN.

This is true. I am sure that there is a pressure campaign from the administration to the league offices to downgrade the penalty, but we are Illinois not Michigan or Ohio State. Therefore, it is an uphill battle.

I thought the same thing going into the 4th quarter of the game last weekend. That thought was abruptly eradicated. This team can't be trusted from quarter to quarter much less game to game.

Agree, but isn’t this a reflection of the fact that we have zero depth on this team. Lack of depth really stood out during the Wisconsin game.
