Winning 1 of these next 2 will be a great start to getting our resume back to respectable. I think we lose this one, but win @Michigan. I'm assuming students are still on break for both games so it's a great time to steal one on the road.

With that being said, I haven't watched Minnesota yet this season. Are they as good as last year?

Also, according to kenpom we play faster than any team in the B1G. Minnesota is 2nd. This could be a hectic game.

This is a game that our pressure D could steal one on the road for us.

I’ll be there.

Gophers have been dogged by slow starts this year (see the game vs Drake and today vs Harvard). If we come out like we did against Mizzou, we will have a shot. Students are still on break, and while the plan is for Nate Mason to be back for this game, he may not be as effective.

This game is a resume builder if there ever was one for us. We simply can not lose this game. A road win is a road win. Minny is beatable by the BU offense and defense system.

How many players will be down with the flu by Wednesday? Too much sniffling in the post-game interviews.

What I Hate is the Big Ten Scheduling. They again put us with 5 out of 1st 7 games on the road!

Mason did not play last night and is questionable for Wednesday.

being able to contain Murphy is the key for me.....a double-double machine....

Leron needs to stay out of foul trouble and we need to shoot better from the arc or it could be a long night...

Yeah they're good. They were ranked earlier in the season but have dropped out of the Top 25. If Mason is hobbled or doesn't play that could be a huge factor. He's an explosive scorer at the point. They're really tough on the glass but their bigs Murphy and Lynch can get into foul trouble. Keep an eye on that and we have to take advantage of the times one of them is sitting.

Now would be a real good time for Kipper to come out of the funk he's been in for the last few games.

The thing that stood out for me was this:

"some Illini players are showing early flu-like symptoms" and especially this:

"Black, who was coughing and wheezing after the game,"

Hope everyone is well for this game. Except Minnesota players, of course.

This concerns me too. We can beat Minny at full strength. I'm less confident if we're missing someone like Leron. That would tank our chances.

Agreed. Leron and Monte were hacking and coughing all through the press conference. Underwood sat in Trent's chair because Trent wasn't hacking at all. Odd, isn't Trent from South Florida? ;)

Hopefully they can get over it before Wednesday.

I think this is the biggest game of the season. If we win this one, I think we make a run and get into the tournament. If we lose, I think it is just NIT.
