Illinois at Nebraska, Saturday, October 1st, 2:30pm CT, ESPN2

I was at the game in Lincoln a couple years ago as a guest of a Husker season ticket holder. Awesome experience in Lincoln. Tailgating in Illini gear wasn't an issue. My wife and I were invited in to most tailgates to enjoy food and beverage. Atmosphere at the game was unbelievable. Even got my pic with Juice prior to the game. Was supposed to go again this year but my son has a flag football game that he's playing QB in that I can't miss.

I'm posting this here since I'm a new user and can't create a new thread.

Anyway, I visited Champaign, IL, last year for the Illini/Husker game. I usually buy game programs for all the games I attend, but for some reason it slipped my mind that day.

Does anyone have an extra program for that game (Oct. 3, 2015) that they would be willing to sell me? I tried searching eBay, but I had no luck there.

dont come on here and troll us with your nebraska superfan routine, brother.

hey Im just kidding. thats real dedication. But hope we beat you guys real bad.

I wasn't at that game, but I wish you all the luck in the world! Traditions like that are the best. Here's to a good game, a (shocking) upset could really springboard the Lovie Era, and I'm an eternal optimist. ;)

That is awesome! I am glad you had a good time! I am not sure if I will make it to Lincoln for the game this weekend but I have not seen visiting fans treated poorly before, though I am sure it happens, but usually it seems to be super friendly.

We had Oregon Duck fans all over two weeks ago, drinking and eating with us, having a great time.

I guess I don't even understand why people would be jerks to visiting fans.

Nebraska wins 45-14

Nebraska is a little thin at OL but it's not a big deal, everyone else is pretty healthy on the line except for one OL that they will be replacing with a senior for this game. Nebraska is 3 deep at running back, has the best receiving core in the big ten, has have several receivers that are just as good if not better than the one injured receiver that we have out, we have a beastly tight end and a dual threat Quarterback that is finally acclimated with the system. I think that Illinois will play hard but I think that it will simply be too much for Illinois in the trenches, Devine Ozigbo will wear down the Illinois defense, this guy turns 2 yard runs into 5 yard runs and is like a battering ram, he will wear down the opposing team through-out the course of the game.

On Defense Nebraska is pretty young up front but they have been playing very well, I think that Illinois will have to run the ball effectively to have success and stay in the game against Nebraska. Nebraska's strength on defense this year is with their experienced linebackers and secondary. Nebraska is much improved as a defensive unit now under their 2nd season with their new defensive coordinator.

I do not think that Nebraska will have a let down and I expect a blowout, this game is at home for Nebraska this year and this team is on a redemption tour, this Nebraska team remembers the close last second losses that they suffered last year and this team has placed a strong emphasis on finishing the game.

Welcome to the board, GOBIGRED! As for the game: you're probably right. =P

We're hoping for a marginally entertaining game, at least. Progress would be nice, too.

Thank you! We will have to see, maybe Illinois will play a solid game coming off a bye week, I could be wrong but my gut tells me that this Nebraska team will be focused and not have a let down, they know what is at stake.

I think that you guys will improve a lot under Lovie Smith over the next couple years, I really like your coach.

Probably going to lose, but man are we going to look good doing it. I love the all-white uniforms. My favorite combos are 1) white helmet, white jersey, blue pants 2) all white 3) all grey

Love the all whites. However, I'm one of the few who likes that we switch it up!

Back to the game, let's just show some fight! All I ask.

Yes. I'm cool with losing so long as we're within a score in the first three quarters. Hoping this is the last time we have to go to Lincoln expecting a loss...

If we win I don't even know what I'll do.

Lovie knows that on road trips you gotta pack your defense. Somehow our D Line controls the LOS, keeping Armstrong in check. Lunt steps up and plays well. Crouch gets a few series and ignites the ground game.

The game stays tight latte into the 4th quarter...

Well, I will be at the game. if having a Latte in the 4th quarter can seal the deal for us, I will gladly find a coffee stand and pound 1 or 5. Expecting a pretty lopsided game but I'll be thrilled if I am wrong.

Been to every game in Lincoln since NE joined the B1G. Can't wait for the barage of "Oh, I'm sorry you had to come all this way for a loss." Yeah, drove all the way from Omaha.

45-14 is about what I expect. Our WR's aren't good enough to consistently get any kind of separation, our OL isn't good enough to pound out any kind of running game. Not a good day for the Illini.
