Nebraska loss delayed our rise to get in the mix for a #1 seed, so it's fitting that beating them now will probably get us to a #1 in a lot of projections.

I thought Kylan would be in the mix for B1G POTY at this point, but Keaton is definitely in that mix.

Posted this right after nebby loss, I guess it sounded crazy to many;

Unless we shoot lights out like we did against Purdue, I don't see us winning this game especially with the average defense we have exhibited against top teams..

Not sure I'd say that. I want a B1G championship and a top 2 (1, really) seed. This game is huge for both those reasons.
Agree completely. Considering the games each top team has left, we need to win this game or Nebraska will very likely to win Big 10.
It doesn’t help Illinois that Nebraska is at home and has a couple extra days to prepare.

One extra day, and they were in a much more exhausting game (they looked gassed by the end, which was why they couldn't hold on).

EDIT: Oh it was Tuesday. Huh. Well, maybe the flu will be an equalizer, or Wagler will be an equalizer.

That stuff doesn't matter much. These are young adults who love to play basketball and compete. They will be ready on Sunday.

Guaranteed: Two-way tie atop the Big 10 at 8:00pm Sunday evening.

Which two teams will it be? I like our chances. I just don't see us dropping 2 regular season games to Nebraska.

Definitely we owe them. I win here will put us back on track to win the B1G.
