If we win this one I think we win out. But I don't think we win this one.

Same in both regards. I think it would take a similar defensive effort from tonight and better shooting to make it happen. I will be closing watching to see whether or not I dare to get my hopes up again :D

Toughest game left on the schedule, I think we keep it within 6-10 with Nebby winning by 13.

Man. Finally get to a game that means something again and I lose the big tv to my wife and her friends for the Oscars.

This is kind of funny because you make it sound like the last 2 wins didn't mean anything. Which is weird because without the last 2 wins then this game wouldn't mean anything.:)

At this point the toughest game on the schedule is whatever the next one is, but I think MSU will be the biggest test of the remaining regular season games. The big goal now should be avoiding a Weds BTT game.

We may be on to something... Saw a toughness last night I hadn't seen in this team....nor did I think they possessed.

Let's keep it rollin'.

Didn't NE just blow out PSU at home? The same PSU team that swept us this year? That doesn't bode well.

MSU lost Eron Harris for the year which is a big blow for them. Nebraska may actually be the more difficult game considering that development.

Yeah, but where's the fun in comparing what happened earlier this season (REALLY BAD) to where we are now (Good-ish?)?? :thumb:

Also, PSU is a very young team, so (without looking at the box score) it wouldn't surprise me if there were some inconsistencies in their play on the road at Nebraska (of which was 3 days after they played us at home - quite a bit of traveling, most likely without ever returning back to Happy Valley).

But hey, at this point in time, it doesn't matter if we win by 1 or win by 20... really need to get this game in Lincoln. :illinois:

They took Purdue to OT last night, PSU is a solid, competitive B10 squad without being world beaters. But Nebraska beating on them like that is still impressive. It was their fifth worst margin of defeat this season (16 pts) with every other loss coming by 10 or less.

Many people, myself included, are starting to get our hopes up again. That makes this the perfect time for Illinois to have another listless performance on the road, where we get utterly dominated by a team that should not be better than us.

Nebraska 74
Illinois 60

The same PSU team that lost at home to Rutgers? No other team in the history of the Big Ten can make that claim.

Matchups are everything. Or almost everything. i confess to having no idea how we matchup with Nebraska.
