Perhaps true. But fewer people tuning in to watch as the years go on, mired in "non train-wrecky" mediocrity.
I think the conference said before the season that they may switch matchups to avoid repeat games. There's no shortage of basement dwellers in the East this year so I doubt we would have to play Rutgers again.

This is the biggest issue. The people on this board are the pulse of the fan base. Tropical depression Apathy is rolling across central Illinois. Nothing like 29k fans for a home opener next fall. We need some adrenaline. This is year FIVE.
I'm more disgusted than apathetic.
