If Illini finish 3-5 no way Lovie gets fired. It's not train-wrecky enough.Feels like a win or clean house game. I doubt beating Rutgers for a second time saves jobs.

With a win over Northwestern? Maybe. With two wins over Rutgers? I hope not.If Illini finish 3-5 no way Lovie gets fired. It's not train-wrecky enough.
Perhaps true. But fewer people tuning in to watch as the years go on, mired in "non train-wrecky" mediocrity. If Illini finish 3-5 no way Lovie gets fired. It's not train-wrecky enough.
I think the conference said before the season that they may switch matchups to avoid repeat games. There's no shortage of basement dwellers in the East this year so I doubt we would have to play Rutgers again.Feels like a win or clean house game. We won't play Rutgers again. With a win over Northwestern? Maybe. With two wins over Rutgers? I hope not.
The B10 was oddly bad this year. Ten out of 14 teams with 2 wins headed into the final regular season weekend. It could be any one of UM, PSU, MSU or Maryland.
MAN, the East was oddly bad this year.
We don't even go to Illinois Coaches Football clinics - I'd doubt they'd even pick up the phone in the booth. Too much effort.Yeah sure, but who actually likes talking on the phone?
This is the biggest issue. The people on this board are the pulse of the fan base. Tropical depression Apathy is rolling across central Illinois. Nothing like 29k fans for a home opener next fall. We need some adrenaline. This is year FIVE.Perhaps true. But fewer people tuning in to watch as the years go on, mired in "non train-wrecky" mediocrity.
I'm more disgusted than apathetic.Nothing says apathy like being the 35th post on gameday!
Go ILLINI!
Not to mention going 2 hours 20 minutes to the next post.Nothing says apathy like being the 35th post on gameday!
Go ILLINI!
