Thinking about going this weekend. Is there any bad seat in the place?
Nope, and definitely not post-renovation. I went in 2019 and 2020. 2019 was like 50% Illini fans, which I expect is about the norm … we lost by one (IIRC) with an awful ending.

In 2020 - and I want to be conservative and not try to be hyperbolic “for effect” here - I think it might have been 70% Illini fans and the Krush. Wouldn’t be surprised to see that again.

Any Illini fan who thinks AC is the second best player on this team has not watched the Illini play this season. Trent Frazier is that man. Not that AC isn't capable of playing at that level, but he cannot and never has matched the contribution TF makes AT BOTH ENDS. We have seen AC play offensively at his best against Purdue and it was fascinating, but we have also seen him at his worst this year. Frazier brings it every night. Other than going cold on occasion, he is always a plus player, and has been given huge respect by Matt Painter. AC can get there, but there is a long way to go. Hope we see his best again many times...and soon.

I mean, AC has been pretty much injured all season so that's not really fair. If you look at last year, I think you can certainly argue for either. I don't think it's ridiculous to say AC is the 2nd best. I also don't think it's ridiculous to say Trent is.

Not saying your conclusion is wrong, but to follow your line of reasoning, you could also say: “Any Illini fan who thinks Kofi is one of the best players on the team has not watched the Illini play the past two weeks.”

If and when the team is at full strength, a case can be made for either Trent or Belo being second best / most impactful. Sure would be nice to finally see how fast the wagon could go with all the horses pulling.

We are also comparing a 5th year player to a 2nd year. That extra time brings a lot of maturity and consistency that can be missing from a younger player. I absolutely love Trent but just imagine how good AC would be as a 5th year player....

I’ll be there. Judging by the average StubHub ticket for this game vs. NU’s other home games (literally $80 vs. less than $20…), I’m guessing I will be in good company!

Let’s remind NU that Chicago (and every corner of this state) is Illini Country!
Dude enjoy the game. I hope we destroy the Purple wearing Wussy cats. GO ILLINI!
