Haven't been scared really of a game since the rutgers game but this is one that scares me. Northwestern plays very well together and they play hard. Going to have our A game for this one.

Agreed, plus we only get 4 days rest for this one, lol.

I've wanted to win many games more than this one, but I don't think I've ever wanted to win a game by 30 more than this one.

Will need a few road wins to finish on top in the B10.....this would be a good place to start....think this will be a really good game with the Illini shooting better from the line a pulling out a close win

Trying to guess the line on this one..................hmmm.

I'll go with Illini by 2.

It appears enough teams may have lost this week to push us back into the AP Top 10. Speculating we'll be right around #10 when we take the court in Evanston.

In the second half of the B1G season, we are facing 6 very tough road games. We need this one.
Agreed, and we need to finish our first 10, hopefully 9-1 but 8-2 isn't terrible, back half of schedule is tougher, but who do we fear?

If it’s that small I’m betting the house, Ira, and whatever else I can scrap together on the Illini. I’m not buying Northwestern.

I think the Big 10 is overrated below the top 3 teams. I think Illinois, Wisconsin, Iowa are the clear top 3 teams. 3 good to possibly great teams. Any of these teams could make a Final 4. But after that I see a sizeable gap.

NW overrated. Michigan State overrated. Minnesota overrated. Teams like Michigan/Ohio State/Rutgers decent but nobody I see in the sweet 16. Then you got just bad teams in Purdue, Indiana, Nebraska, Penn State, Maryland.

Congrats! You are the only person I've heard say B10 is overrated. Rutgers ? Michigan? Northwestern?...grind every night and no gimmes. Get used to it.

Wrong. Minny lost by 27 to us and then went on to beat your projected final 4 team and MSU back to back. This conference is good top down.

Also Purdue beat OSU and hung with Rutgers. No gimmes at all this year. The Illini are likely to slip up against one of those "just bad teams" you listed like almost every other top team has or will in the Big season.

Anyone who says the B1G is overrated isn't watching the same games I am....IMHO, this season is the toughest the B1G has been in memory...EVERY game is a knock down drag out fight for 40 minutes.....
Wisky-Penn st game cancelled....first one this season.....as of now, no positive tests announced....covid worries me more than missed FTs....
Stay safe Illini and ride the Orange wave................

No doubt the B1G is loaded this year, they and the Big 12 seem to be the only conferences with more than 1 or 2 strong teams capable of challenging for a league title.
