Tickets still available, I was really considering going up until about 2 weeks ago. Not going though. I am embarrassed at how low our program has gotten with count it...zero injuries. This game has the looks of us being blown out. I cannot in my right mind go to a game when I don't believe in our coaching staff. They have no clue what they are doing and are being out-coached in most games.

Prediction: NU smacks us up and down, showing Chicago that Groce is no match for Chris Collins.

Will be the a complete embarrassment for Illinois basketball. NU will mop the floor with us.

I expect the same bad rotations, the same poor defense, the same stagnant offense, and the same disappointing outcome...

I thought January was over. This one could be ugly. Unless we miraculously get our shooting touch back on the road, it could be a 20 point loss. We have become a laughing stock.

I love the idea of watching this team getting smacked sround by Northwestern... Honestly the fact that Northwestern is now a game we expect to lose should be considered as a fireable offense.

Maybe that speaks to how far Northwestern has come this year. I think the Purdue game was an outlier for them. Even if this was NU from last year, they'd still be heavily favored.

The season is over but I will still watch because the team still plays hard.

It would be a perfect ending to Groce's tenure if we go on a 6 game winning streak, giving us all hope....and then lose @Rutgers.

I also will continue to watch. Although it is not must see live TV. I can fast forward through commercials and halftime.

Often during a senior's season, a hitherto unseen fire gets lit underneath him. I'm waiting for that to happen to Malcolm. He's just gotta get out of this brutal, brutal slump he's in.

Illinois in a tail spin coming into ranked Northwestern # 24.

NW is always tough at home and it seems their play has a even flow of good basketball for 40 minutes.

Will Illinois find a Spark in a Bottle to right the ship as a wounded dog?

This means that Illinois will come out flat and listless. They may or may not make a push in the second half, but either way they come up short.

Northwestern is without one of their key players if I recall correctly, so I'm not expecting a lot from them either. But Collins will clown Groce.
