They were actually SO bad during the years that I got into college basketball as a kid in the early 2000s, haha. I was pretty much in college by the time they were halfway decent, and by that point Illinois was terrible. So in my (relatively short, I guess??) time as a fan, the 2021/2022 stretch was really the only time "Illinois vs. Michigan" was anything too noteworthy.

FWIW ... I definitely don't like 'em!

I used KenPom and my own advanced proprietary forecasting system (which you can subscribe to for $50/mo) to double-check your work and found that Illinois has been up 8 at the 0:00 mark of the 2nd half in 2 away games this year. In those two games, they're 2-0.

If Illinois can continue to be up by 8 at the 0:00 mark of the second half in away games, we will get at least a 3 seed.
