Legitimate question..... How often does Oregon play at 12:30 local time? Seems like they are always playing later than that.
As another poster mentioned, they have only played 1 game at 12:30 local time thus far this season. Last season, they played 4 games with a 12:30 PM Pacific time start and their season opener against Portland State was a Noon Pacific time kickoff, though that wasn't entirely unusual for games being played on the Pac 12 Network.

Illinois Football is 3-12 vs #1 all time. The wins-

1950 vs Ohio St
1956 vs Mich St
2007 at Ohio State - also the last game vs #1

That game against OSU in 2006 was a real canary in the coal mine for the following year. We played them tough, and would have had a chance to drive for the tying score if not for the screwy change of possession clock rules they tried out that season.

When was the last time that we beat a number one ranked opponent? 2007. And if Georgia continues it’s onslaught in the second half with Texas, Oregon will be the number one team and we will be set up again to beat them like we did the number one team Ohio State in 2007.

Ohio State would finish the '07 season with a 10-1 record but we different plans for them on November 10th, 2007. Juice Williams threw for 4 TD's while the Illinois defense picked off Todd Boeckman 3 times. The Fighting Illini would claim the Illibuck trophy and the win by a final of 28 to 21.

Go Illini!
I said in the post game thread that yesterday was the best game I've ever been to. But THIS was the best Illinois game I ever saw. It was my 21st birthday.

We have a huge opportunity next Saturday. Open up the playbook. We have nothing to lose. A team with nothing to lose is a dangerous team. Oregon has playmakers, but so do we. If we win, I expect we would leap to the top 12. Then with 4 games left, the playoffs would be in sight. I know I know, one game at a time. Just an uber excited Illini fan here.

I am typically an optimist, but I don't see any scenario in which we win this one. That said, if we can play a reasonably tight game like at Penn State, that would be a huge win for us in front of a national audience.

For those of us who have watched Oregon play, they have WAY more athleticism and speed than Penn State, and a much more aggressive coach.

I'd LOVE to be wrong, and won't miss a second of this one.

Need our coordinators to have an A+ game plan. All the pressure on Lunney this game. He needs to figure out a way for us to score 5 or more TDs.

I see the spread is at 21.5, personally I think that's way too high. Illinois is 6-1 with a tough loss to a good Penn St team on the road and with wins over ranked Nebraska, Michigan and Kansas. I don't think you're getting the respect you deserve and have earned. Looking forward to seeing you guys in Autzen this coming Saturday. Plus you have a very good coach
