I wish BU would show his displeasure toward the refs on occasion. I remember last years home game against Maryland where we jumped out early and Turgeon went ballistic and it turned the entire game around. It doesn’t always work but sometimes u gotta let the stripes know that your getting screwed.

It definately wasn't cheap, the SOPHOMORE Mulcahey earned every bit of it, and goaded it, so he deserved it but DaMonte should have stayed above Mulchumpy's level for sure.

And Grandison has experience above high school level. Did he play 2 years and a sit out year? Maybe he just needs the ..."bulb on " moment, but with college experience, and a year of D1 practice with...Ayo, Trent, Griffin, Kofi, Giorgi (dancin machine Big Dog) et al...needs to show out. IMHO. Now is his time as we need minutes at D1 high level with all of our injuries, transfers and defections. Get up, dress up, show up...or move along little doggie ...js.

“Right now we’re just not playing hard enough,” Frazier said. “I think that’s the biggest situation right now. We’re not responding to teams punching us in the mouth. That’s going to be one of the biggest things this year for the season. We’re going to be top 25 all year so everybody wants a piece of us.

“Everybody is looking at us as a team to get at to get a win because they see we’re soft, I guess. I think the biggest thing right now is us being able to show who we are and showing other teams what we’re about on that side. Most importantly, playing harder. We’ve got to dive on those loose balls, 50-50 balls, rebounding and just punishing people on the glass. We’ve just got to come out with way more effort.”

Raises the question does this team have the "killer instinct" needed compete on the road, to close close games, to make a deep run in the tournament???

Ace did four things very well in HS. He hit threes, had sweet pull up jumper, passed to the open man and drove to the rim. His drives to the rim have been blocked or missed ( like DMFW ) His threes have been good when he is in rhythm and does not feel rushed, made some great passes, needs to utilize his mid-range pull up that he can get when they are challenging his threes.

This really should be a Kofi game as Penn St doesn't have a lot of size. However, they have shot 40% from 3 in their 4 games against top 100 teams. You always have a chance to lose if a team gets hot from 3, but otherwise I like the matchup. I think we come out pissed off from the Rutgers game and win by 20.

So, we beat Duke at Duke by 15 and yet we're still only 2 positions better than they are in the AP poll?

I'd say that was a generous comment on BU's part. Perhaps he's trying to motivate his team - but AF and Headband-Chachi are like night and day as far as toughness goes.

I get that, but its all relative. If our losses were to top 5 teams away from home - that matters. I get that they take some of that into account - but

Our 3 losses are against - what - #2 in strength of schedule? Look at UNC's or Duke's schedules and tell me why they are where they are. UNC I don't think has even played a top 25 team yet. Our main losses have been away from home too. 18 is nowhere near respect given the SOS. ie. a loss at Rutgers by 3 should not have moved us down 5 points when Rutgers is now 11 in the same poll. A 3 point loss away from home against another top 15 team should really be considered no movement in the polls. I know its early, but I wouldn't be quite as ticked if they applied the rankings consistently and not by school name.

Could not care less about rankings. I care about end of season seeding, that's it. The rankings are a distraction and possibly a target on your back, nothing else.

Illinois is the best 3 loss team in the country, according to the polls. Our wins are (AP if top 25, or KPom)

Seems entirely reasonable, if not generous.

I'm with you, but given our recent history and lack of success, I'm just glad to see us still in the top 25, and solidly at that.
