Speaking of refs, there is no bigger POS than Bill Lemonnier. He would consistently give his alma mater, Michigan, calls all the time. How the Big 10 allowed an alum to ref a game is beyond me. His calls in the 2000 Michigan-Illinois game were egregious.

To this day, when they bring in that clown as a ref commentator I yell at the TV.
I knew the officiating was horrible. That Jameel cook NON-fumble that was ruled a fumble was the turning point in a season with some high expectations. Good thing illini pulled out the win vs SC and the feagin non-fumble didn’t cost the game.

Illini 37
Purdue 16… with 3 field goals. Apparantly I need to clarify that the other 7 points will come from a lone touchdown with a successful extra point.

How about 3 FG + 1 FG + 2 safeties

it’s just too hot out for me . was really hoping 3 weeks ago it would be perfect fall weather . 72 & sunny

92 & sunny is just too hot out for me to be in the sun all day . no shade in RossAde at 12 noon
Maybe this is a good sign. If it's this hot in early October maybe we won't have to have as many layers for those last couple November games.

It’s going to be in the 70’s most of the game. ~80 degrees in October in Indiana is a beautiful day for football.

Go Illini.
Gonna be warmer than that. 79° at kickoff, 85 by the end of the game.

Everyone talking about last year’s game but in order to avoid another zany game, you need to avoid a similar sequence: Give up TD, immediately give up a strip sack TD, turnover on downs, give up a TD.
If that sequence doesn’t happen in a half where the offense otherwise did its job then the onside kick in the 4th quarter doesn’t happen/doesn’t matter. Plus, Ryan Browne won’t have Ryan Walters (who I believe was able to call the right play because he knew exactly what or defense was doing) calling the plays for him.
