I just looked at their schedule, and they've already gone through the gauntlet. Wow. I say we win this one, only because I can't deal with the thought of not getting another win and this might be our last chance.

Don't know what the score will be, since you can't predict what level of "dumb" Illinois will play at. But it will be a loss.

offense will click, but defense will continue to get pummeled. Rutgers 38 Illini 30

Let's not suddenly get stupid....

If the line doesn't open with Illinois as a 10 point favorite at least, then Vegas is just trolling us. We're bad. And, we're a little down on ourselves right now.... but we're not "Rutgers bad". They may be the worse P5 school in the league right now.

And by a wide margin...

If it's Illinois -4 I won't be flabbergasted, but you're drunk if you think it's Illinois -10.

We are a five-alarm garbage inferno. Rutgers is too. Vegas isn't giving either team many points.

We aren't going to be favored in this one at all. Yes Rutgers has been blown out, but to 3 of the top 5 teams in the country. Our Illini wouldn't do better in any of those games. Unless the defense improves somehow during the week we are going to get run over, and once they stack the box against crouch and double turned we won't have any threat from the QB/WR position. As much as it kills me to say it, I'd have to take Buttgers in this one

Blown out is an understatement. 78-0? I guarantee you we won't be that bad when we play Michigan.

Last week people said we weren't Purdue bad. Now some are saying we aren't Rutgers bad. Rutgers is saying "Thank goodness we are at home playing Illinois. This is a conference win for us!"

I cant see us losing to Rutgers ... As posted above, I couldnt see us losing to Purdue. I cant tell if I am just really hoping we win, or if I actually think we should win.

Michigan put up 78...Rutgers 0? When I heard the score I thought it was a preseason basketball score....After the Purdue game, it would be hard to pick a winner here. Vegas odds anybody?

Georgia Tech put up 222 on Cumberland** in 1916.

**Cumberland had discontinued football the prior season, but a bunch of fraternity guys suited up to honor the scheduling agreement w/ Tech.

So Maryland dropped 50 on PU before we played them. Now UM just dropped 78, that is 78, on a woeful Rutgers team that we now play next. Anybody want to take a guess on what's going to happen to us this week?

We poured in 31 on 500 yards of total offense led by a backup QB with a shaky throwing arm. It's not like we made the Purdue D look better than they were.

I want to believe we'll get this one, but after Saturday there's no telling which team will show up. There's the Mediocre Illini and then there's the Dumpster Fire Illini. My gut tells me we see the Dumpster Fire Illini.
