I agree completely. I weep for those who suffered this fate, and rejoice in what they're experiencing now.

I had the dumb luck to see my first Illini game in nearly 20 years in Jan. '19 when the Illini knocked off #13 Maryland in Madison Square Garden. We beat #9 MSU at home ~10 days later. (Dan Dakich: "This will end badly for Illinois.") We were finally climbing out of the pit.

I would expect nothing less. It's in his blood. Gil at his peak was, by far, the most fun time in my life to be a Wizkids fan. Blargh, my NBA fandom is bleak af.
