Wisconsin seems to be playing better since the question of whether Fickell will be back or not has been answered. Just don’t make mistakes and play complimentary football and Illinois should win. Maybe if the Illini get off to a quick start Wisky might pack it in. Let them hang around and it will be dangerous.

Question for the insiders. Is Xavier Scott healthy enough to play but doesn't want to? If that's the case, does he still get paid his NIL money?

Wisconsin has a good defense. The problem for them is the offense is horrible

FWIW I think we’re better than what our record suggests, considering that two of our losses were to the #1 and 2 ranked teams, plus a road loss to an under appreciated Washington team.

I was thinking about this the other day. The schedules are so unbalanced. Nebraska didn’t have to play OSU, Indiana, or Oregon and got Michigan, USC, and Iowa all at home. You guys probably run the table and are fighting to play in the big 10 championship with that schedule

Straw man argument here. Never said anything about being championship level. The context here is a game against Wisconsin, who I believe has some good fight in them still. My only point is that I think we can win this game, even though it’s a road game against Wisconsin. But now that you make the statement that you are what your record says you are- do you really believe that? We’ve played 10 games in a lopsided schedule, and our defense is starting to show life again. Small sample size - biased against us and we’re actually improving. Maybe if this was the NBA and we were 60 games into the season you can say that, but come on.
