The studio official disagreed with the call too.
Sometimes knowing you're right and not saying anything is the right move. Everyone knows it was a bad call, and I'm sure it will be addressed.
Trying very hard to convince myself this will be a comfortable win, but gnawing feeling this will be a rock fight and still in doubt in to the 4th.

Probably picking his battles. No need to re-litigate it in the press after we won.
You ever heard a Bret Bielema press conference before? He's no stranger to making his feelings about officiating known. He said it twice and affirmed that Clement needed to maintain control to the ground.
Maybe he's not letting Clement off the hook for giving the official the option of calling it a drop.
It's not often both booth guys say it's obvious and the rules expert says the crew was wrong and they would have preferred it stayed as ruled.
Yep. Damn near all of them. He's no stranger to questioning calls after losses, that's for sure. But this was a win. And I also know that he is very intentional about his comments. JMO

If you show up a few hrs prior to gametime you can usually park in several lots in people's yards a few blocks off Regent St. Most tailgating is done in outdoor bar set ups along Regent St. Red Zone is decent with a big screen TV outside showing games.

If the officials decided he didn’t make a “football move” then they made the correct call, he has to maintain control.
If they decided he made a football move, then the ball came out after said move and is a completed pass with the ground or defender causing the ball to come out.
In CFB a “football move” is a “voluntary act of forward progress” which includes taking steps and/or reaching for extra yardage.
So, the officials clearly ruled he did not make a football move and therefore needed to maintain control.
The replay however clearly shows 3 steps and a knee after the catch is established which is literally the definition of a “football move”.
So the correct call was made after an incorrect call was made.
