I think saying we suck is obviously a step to far, but do we seem good? We are 5-6 in our last 11 with one of those wins against an awful Minnesota team. We got beat by double digits in 3 of those(and by 9 in another). Even good wins in there had large parts of the games where we looked terrible(UCLA & Ohio State). We have a guy who started up until a week or so ago that is now getting zero minutes...but now will be right back in the rotation because of injuries. We have another guy who has been a consistent energy guy, worked his way up to starter, got sick/benched and down to 3 minutes last game even healthy in a game we sure could have used a spark in. Our best rebounder and hustle player is out indefinitely. Oh, and let's not forget 3 points shot taken vs shots made. And the insistence on the staff to encourage it. Must just be a social contagion to be bothered by all this?

It's not groupthink to notice a train wreck.

It’s not too late to fix it...we have the talent, but let's not pretend things are going great, good, or even ok right now.

This 👆 - we brought him in to do one thing - make 3’s and he’s failed us - again, not rocket science. He needs to sit, play DGL, hell… play Booth idc, I’m tired of seeing Ben on the floor it’s cringeworthy.

I was one confused fan with Morez not playing final 8 minutes. In our defense, to many times this season certain players were stuck on the bench for long stretches. Morez on at least 3 occasions, while not in foul trouble. I hope the bigman has a full and speedy recovery. I sure hope he's in the OnB next season. Now let's go upset Whisky!

Taking side bets.
What's higher?
IL Off Reb + IL Turnovers + IL Blocks
OR
IL 3PA
Removing Morez from the lineup will decrease our offensive rebounds and blocks. Those minutes will be going to guys that are more likely to shoot 3’s. So unless BU told them specifically to not shoot threes and drive to the hoop, I think we gotta hammer IL 3PA….

I still say in fairness to Brad and team we brought in a bunch of shooters. We should be better than 17th in 3pt %. We definitely chucked a lot of bad shots in the last 8 minutes vs Sparty but overall I still think our shot quality is pretty good. No worse than Wisconsin really. And if our 3 pt % flipped between us and Wisconsin flipped pretty sure our records would flip too.

The injuries/illnesses haven’t helped either and have come at the worst possible times. I don’t think we really have anyone to stop Flagg anyway but Morez was easily our best shot so of course we lose him the week before we play. Tre vs Rutgers. Tomi vs Maryland. Just been snakebit this year.
I am looking ahead to next season. Is it a repeat of trying to quickly connect another brand new roster? Will any players who could come back even want to? What would it be like to have 3-4 guys play together for a second year. Might the freshmen coming in stay for 2-3 years. This is what is making it easy for me to become emotionally detached from this team and the philosophy behind it.

Honestly, with what we have to do to win this game, you're focused on Ben? His job is to rebound and provide some sort of post defense. If the three is there, make it and it's a bonus.

This ALL comes down to KJ, WR and TI. They need to be stars. Forget Ben. His work HAS to be on the defensive side because we literally have nobody remotely playable after he and TI
Basically, three guys who are each in their first year of collegiate basketball, and two of them have missed games with injury and/or illness.

That’s a big ask, even if 2 of the 3 are projected NBA worthy

That's his job now but that is certainly not what we were hoping it would be. Right now the team is way better when he's off the floor offensively. That's a huge problem.
