I have no doubt Purdue is overrated. They don't have the dominant Edey anymore, and everything ran through him, even when the guards were shooting triples.Sorry if it's been mentioned here, but how did Purdue beat Bama? Are there holes they found or weaknesses that we can exploit as well? Watched them play Marq last night and was not impressed in the slightest.
Couldn't agree more. His defense may not be quite at Boswell standards, but is pretty close. He's also a 3 pt. threat and doesn't look bashful about launching them. Growing confidence on the offensive end?I hope that DGL plays well. It seems when he plays well off the bench we win and have several guys in double figures when he does. He is underrated defensively too. He is streaky and makes a big impact when he is rolling.
Sears picked up multiple fouls on the dribble against Purdue. Just creating contact and then throwing himself backward. Am very worried about our guards picking up some cheapies in this manner.I’m worried that Kylan may get some cheap fouls called in this which could be the determining factor if Sears can be managed or not. Regardless this will be a very entertaining game.
SEC Network is part of Fubo's package, unless you have the cheapest plan.Might need to do this. Switched to Fubo a few months ago because it was so much cheaper sharing my sister’s login, and this is the first issue! Had SEC Network with HuluTV.![]()
So, what's the consensus? Are we winning this thing tonight?
No, but that doesn't mean that value won't come from it. There are a lot of things that are going to be exposed tonight:So, what's the consensus? Are we winning this thing tonight?
It’s in BirminghamAnyone who is faniliar: What's the environment like playing there?
I know it's said Alabama doesn't care about basketball, but they are damn good this season so figure they would sell out games of this magnitude regardless.
Reverse psychology...I should have known...No, but that doesn't mean that value won't come from it. There are a lot of things that are going to be exposed tonight:
1)Our reliance on the three
2)Not having to have a go to guy(yet)
3)Don't have a bonafide bucket getter(yet)
Those three items lend themselves to allowing long runs.... especially on the road.
The lack of physicality and toughness:
4)Getting beat on the boards
5)Silly, loose with the ball turnovers
6)Getting rattled (mental toughness)
Can't have any of this to beat a really good team on the road. Can't have any of this to keep within 10 points on the road.
Tonight is to be a harsh lesson, but a good lesson.
Alabama. 88
Illinois. 70
If we play this game three months from now on a neutral floor:
Illinois. 75
Alabama. 72
It’s in Birmingham
I’m sure it’ll be less full than it would be if it was in TuscaloosaRight. So will it be full and loud or it's more of a mediocre environment?
