I am sure this is the wrong thread to ask, but here it goes anyway. Going to my first football game this weekend and need to know where to park.

Parking is available every where every thing is a short walk.

"There are some lots available for game day purchase. These lots are Lot 44, 46, 47, 49 and the lots in Research Park. Parking fees for these lots are $20 per automobile. Automobiles with pull behinds are only allowed in Lot 49 for $40. Recreational vehicles/motor homes may park in Lot 33 for $40. Buses may park on Pennsylvania Avenue for $50."

I hate the blue top/orange pants combo

Same

Not a fan of contrasting color on color. Literally any other combination I love. All orange, all blue, all white, blue and white, orange and white....etc....

OBO would look a whole lot better if our Orange helmets matched. I still think our white helmets are the best by far.

All orange looks like Syracuse or even Clemson. Not attractive. We are Orange and Blue, as in "Hail to the ..."

Orange makes things look bigger. Blue makes things look smaller. Putting blue over orange make the player look smaller, but with bigger butts. Dark helmets make their heads look smaller.

It would be easier if we had any traditions left.

We have our leaders for Week 1. Six deserving guys voted captains by their #Illini teammates

I find it interesting that Tymir Oliver is the only sophomore in the group. He was supposedly impressive in camp, so let's hope that translates to the games.

This game is an important test for a young team. If we play well and win by at least 14 points, I'd say we're off to a good start. There's a lot to watch for, but what rises to the top for me is the passing game. This will be the worst secondary we face this year. If attitude counts for anything, Crouch should have a big day. His spirit energizes the offensive. We know he can scramble, but I'm still unsure what what kind of passer he is.

It has been shown that dark colors are more intimidating. Witness the Raiders and the Bears. Our dark blue fits into that scheme.

... can't tell if serious... Raiders and Bears? How good have they been lately?

It was never the colors that made them intimidating, it was the men inside the uniforms. Butkus, Singletary, Alzado, Tatum, etc...

No night baseball; no designated hitter; no artificial turf; and, Illini always need to wear contrasting orange/blue colors in their home football uniforms. (Brings back memories of beating both OSU and Michigan in the same season).

Oh.....and stay off my lawn!

Come to think of it, I'm wearing B/O/B, with an Orange Illinois T-shirt, Blue "I" undies, Orange "Illini" socks, and, to remember Red Grange, (Galloping) Gray sneakers.

And stay off my weeds!

I just want to see more disciplined football.
Last year, this team repeatedly shot itself in the foot with penalties, giving the opponent extra drives and points. I want to see the Fighting Lovies do a better job in that department.
