As of right now, it appears we could/should enter the game ranked #6 by the AP (Kansas and Virginia have both lost). Doesn't really matter, since a W against Baylor will move the needle even more!

Is this Baylor's opener?

Um, no, I just checked. They play this Saturday and Sunday against Louisiana and Washington respectively

BOOM! Feed my ego.
Drew has some good tape on the Illini now. Ohio exposed some weaknesses. Gotta get those cleaned up.

We will need to bring it a LOT more than today if we want to have a chance, but I think today's game might have been the necessary event to provide a chip on our shoulder and some enhanced focus for Wednesday ... hope so, anyway. This is arguably the biggest game for this program since the Wake Forest game in 2004-05, and a win here catapults us into the "Illinois basketball is back" category with ZERO doubt, to the extent anyone still doubts it! I am so pumped for this game, and I really hope we come in ready to play.

Yeah, he is going to see unforced turnovers and missed ft’s as major reason it was close. Believe ohio scored 20pts off of to’s. Not sure we even shot 50% on ft’s.

Time to put Ohio in the past. We won. On to Baylor! Huge opportunity and one of those games we have been clamoring for for years! Top 10 matchup early in the season! Let’s show the nation we are legit.

What weaknesses do you think were exposed? I kept looking for them and the 4 spot is again an issue but really I don't know what holes were exposed, your thoughts?

Last year’s Ohio State game with a big ten title on the line as well as the Iowa game with a top 4 seed on the line were bigger games.....not to mention the National Championship game in April 2005.....Not arguing it is a big game and a measuring stick but not a big deal if we lose.

Not sure if it's something that can be exposed normally, but Kofi was clearly a step slow today on rim protection, likely due to 3 games in 3 days which you never see in college. I think he shores up some of our size weakness, especially at the 4 when he is at full speed.

Suzy Kolber with ILLINI highlights on ESPN were great to hear

Baylor plays a 1-3-1 matchup zone and plays a zone offense with inside ball screens. Will be a good test on how to beat the 131
They played a no middle man to man almost exclusively last year and they are really really good at it. Davion Mitchell is arguably the best defensive guard in the country. This will be a great test for Ayo and the entire team
