in my view Illinois plays and wins, but we will not learn much about the future.
we are going to need a good performance against northwestern to get some momentum going. Imo, that game will determine a lot about our season
This is an easy win but I won’t feel better about this team unless some clear lineup changes are made. Like starting Harris or doubling his minutes.

This is a good opportunity to change the lineup. FWIW I also think it’s time to rethink the offensive and defensive strategies. Shannon really seems to be trying. Mayer and Hawkins seem to be treating every game as an audition tape for the NBA. Maybe it’s the age of the players but everything about their demeanor says stay away. Sunvold did some pretty impressive analysis in that game. The most telling was at the start of the 2nd half with a set play in place Mayer lined up wrong and was pissed when Shannon brought it to his attention. On final note Mizzou was outstanding and I would love to hear more from Sunvold in the future

Northwestern seems to have figured out some things - playing well together. Beat MSU on the road to get them playing with confidence
