This game is already over.... I always wonder why this school stays D1.

I think the talent between Chicago St and NC A&T is about the same as between NC A&T and Illinois. Based on that, I am predicting that we win by 124 (148 vs 24). I’d like to see another Trent 3, and I want a Hawkins jam. I’d also like to see a Curbelo lay-up and 3-pointer tomorrow. Other than that let’s just do what we did today, but better.

NC A&T would be double digit favorites in this game. I can't even imagine what the line will be for this one.

Chicago State may be packing the bus and heading home as we speak.

The spread for this one could not be high enough. Take the Illini no matter what.

We won't need a three in the dying seconds to escape this time.

Should be a repeat of today, or close to it.

Seattle University; a WAC team that floats between Kenpom 170 and 300 depending ... manages to beat Chicago State every year. Illinois will destroy these guys.

Had to get an account after 8+ years of lurking 10+ times a day. Prayers up for the other guys tomorrow.

Underwood repeated over and over in his presser that he doesn't care who the opponent is, he wants to see good execution and effort on defense. Contest shots and rebound to limit opponents to one shot per possession. Cleaning up some of our execution issues tomorrow and Friday and getting players used to playing hard from start to finish will pay dividends in December.

This MTE reminds me of the old Illini Classic event they used to have (Pepsi Illini Classic when I was there I believe). Brings back some great memories......they used to have that event on the Friday and Saturday before finals week. I remember the tough choice....go to Grainger and study for that Physics final.or head to the Assembly Hall to watch Illinois destroy some nobody directional school. Easy choice back in those days...wing the final and Go Illini!

Yes...lots of people on here trashing NC A&T and Chi St, but Illini fans should be grateful that a) there's basketball at all, and b) Illinois is able to play their whole team to assess what they have. These games make Illinois a better team. It allows players to get a feel for each other in game situations and allows the coaches to make corrections and see how the parts fit together.

I'm sure it sucks for those teams to have to come in without pretty much no hope of winning. I guess the schools get a decent payday for sacrificing the team, but you have to feel bad for the players. I hope to talk trash about Duke and Baylor, and the B1G after Illinois wins, but give the little schools some respect.

These events are win win for both schools/teams. U of I getting reps and letting new players get some minutes and experience. These players are getting education and sports at a college level. The small schools payday is great for their budget and the players will get to say while watching Ayo, Adam and Kofi play pro...I went against them in CU.

I didn't realize the word "choice" was even at play here.

4 football and 4 basketball seasons. Perfect attendance! (I will have to admit, however, that the College of Commerce and Business Administration did not have evening exams back in the day.) The ticket had been paid for; the seat was available and would otherwise be unoccupied; and, Lou and Mike expected us to be there rooting their respective teams on to victory!

Happy Turkey.

Today I’m thankful we get to watch this team again and that it’s an early game. I’m also thankful that we get the Baylor/Duke combo in the next 10 days. There will be no illusions about how good this team can be after those two games. Will be happy with a split - will be driving the Orange Kool-Aid Express with a sweep.

Very thankful! Happy Thanksgiving ALL!

Was not a big hoops fan until college, only shared tickets one season, the year we beat Magic!
Think I only missed 1 football game, 0-0 tie vs NW. Stayed home to watch OSU Mich.

GO ILLINI!

Will we outscore the football team in one game? 122-109 so far! Certainly in 2 games.
