He is blunting their offense shooting 3s and I don't understand why he's not told to play inside the arc, where he's a bigger force to be reckoned with.
Maybe to pull their big away from the lane to open up driving lanes for TSJ?
I think that Colgate is a feisty bunch. We saw them last year when they were also in Des Moines for the tournament. That said, if this is in single digits coming down the stretch....I'll be supremely disappointed. This is one of those games where losing is absolutely not an option.

When Hawkins finally made a 3 late in the FAU game, there was no one anywhere near to him. A defender is going to sag off a 22% 3-shooter. Heck, they were probably encouraging him to shoot, to get a TO.

We didn't lose any games like this....and we beat two ranked non con's.

Last year's team had a lot of talent, against UCLA there was a stretch in the game in which Melendez had a couple of strong plays and I was like this team is loaded. But it was a team built on a shaky foundation. I think this team like the veteran FAU team is much more mature and unselfish. I think our losses are going to be grind out lossed but not blowouts or no shows like last year. Even during Ayo/Kofi years we had a couple of bad losses or games (Miami at Illinois).
