Over a nice bowl of small curd cottage cheese.I’m waiting for IlliniCon 2025, when we all fly to Vegas for insider panel discussions on the appropriateness of zone defenses and the fluidity of recruiting and NIL.
If you knew the behind the scenes, it's really not. There has still been other issues as well though.

Current vibe of Loyalty
Until recently, the Illini were my best form of escape from the Fresh New Hell going on in Washington, DC. To make matters worse, my husband (Darryl) is a MSU fan, and he's becoming insufferable. Earlier in the year, I gave him the nickname of Casual Darryl because when Jase Richardson entered a Spartan game, he said "Richardson? I wonder if he's related to Jason Richardson?" I'm like "You've gotta be kidding, how do you NOT know this? I knew a year in advance that we were getting Jason Richardson's nephew (Ty Rodgers), how are you even asking this question? You're not a real fan. You don't deserve for your team to win this much, and I have earned having a great team. I've gone through a lot as an Illini fan." And on top of that, our kids are starting to jump on the Sparty bandwagon. Talk about a Fresh New Hell.
I N IAlready predicted Illini win. Doubling down I got KJ or Will having a better game than Flagg.

Luckily I am, so will be watching and remain partially optimistic. No reason to watch this one unless you’re a masochist.
I feel the same. For as much heat BU is getting this season, I’m grateful I had to think hard about the last time a blowout felt imminent. I’m also grateful the program is in a position to be featured in the ultimate crown jewel primetime game. Let’s give em a fight. It’s an odd feeling going into an Illinois basketball game expecting to get blown out. I looked it up, it’s been since 2019 at Purdue that we’ve been a double digit dog
I just hope we play hard and with fight for 40 minutes- we quite literally have nothing to lose this game, I hope they play like it and give them 40 minutes of h*ll

*cooties, apparently
That’s the concern. We need Tre to step up here. Morez would have been very helpful this game, but….Ben will be guarding Cooper Flagg. Nuff's said.
