ESPN app gives us a 20% chance of winning, and I hate to say I feel that’s about right. Rephrased, is there a 20% overall probability that all of the following things all happen?

1. Our defensive intensity finally returns to form vs. a top 5 opponent.
2. Our offensive game plan effectively gets us to the rim.
3. We make 40%+ of the LIMITED threes that we DO take.
4. We don’t give up 10+ points off of turnovers.
5. Duke is a bit off.

I think that all of that together is necessary to win. Something like #1 or #4 could be decently likely, but all five happening together is unfortunately unlikely. :(

I’ll be rooting for an upset regardless, though!!

Who’s in NYC this weekend and where are we drinking this afternoon?
Where are Illini fans pre-gaming this afternoon? Asking for a friend…
We will be having ham sandwiches in our kitchen before driving over from pennsylvania, walking the block from our parking. We'll watch the game wearing Orange, walk back to the garage and drive home, arriving about 1:00 am

Number 5 is a possiblity if they don't take us seriously. Number 3 is possible that we go all Oregon over them.

I feel like todays a game where attempting 25-30 threes makes some sense. But we need to also go in the paint but plain and simple the most important thing will be limiting turnovers and defensive intensity

Paul Klee was on Saturday's WDWS sports talk this morning and made some interesting comments about KJ and how he is coached. Here is a link to the group of podcasts that includes today's sports talk. https://www.news-gazette.com/wdws/ Klee is on near the end of the podcast.

Echoing what Brad Sturdy said as well about how some NBA scouts are saying the coaching staff isn't using KJ correctly.

Paul Klee. That’s a name I haven’t heard in a long time. Is he still an IL sports reporter? It could be I’ve been completely out of touch.

Oregon beating Wisconsin stirred up some hopes of the Illini giving Duke a game tonight. I’m now getting a little jacked up about seeing what happens. I have confidence that Brad has recruited guys that don’t take too kindly to being embarrassed, and they will rise up and show a national audience that the report of their demise has been greatly exaggerated. 🤞🤞🤞🤞

Thanks for this. Truth of the matter is - no matter how much people here put on a silly, imaginary NBA executive hat and claim he's this and that and will be this and won't be that.... he'll be a top 5 pick🤷‍♂️. At worst top 10. Just look at the projections. There's ZERO chance he's out of the lottery barring some utter collapse.

A ton of talent is on the verge of going down the drain if we can't get healthy and get our act together. I know they're young, but there is no reason for this being a .500 team or so in league play.
