Would someone just go ahead and post the crying guy from the litter commercial already, please?

This game could clearly be our Super Bowl. Prime time, ESPN, hated rival and chance to avenge a 35 pt. embarrassment, all could make for an interesting game. Rumor has it that the new AD is planning on being there, too. :thumb:

Agree with your assessment. No reason not to win this one, at least we can hope, right? Home-floor advantage with a packed house, some days off with lots of practice for preparation, mad as can-be we didn't beat WI, and Thorne possibly back on the floor, as well.

Bad match up for us. They spread us out and carve us up. If they shoot poorly we can win. Otherwise.........

Is this even remotely a possibility? I don't think it is. I feel like we'd hear reports of him practicing for a bit before he sees the floor. I've seen nothing that would lead anyone to think he might be suiting up soon.

It has to be soon for Thorne since we don't have that many games left, unless we'll never see him in an Illini uniform again. Hopefully, we will.

I think that Illinois will come out with a chip on their shoulder and keep this one close.

Then, with the game tied at 72 and 0.9 seconds left, Illinois will have an inbounds play on the sideline by their basket. Nunn will get the ball, wait about 3 seconds, then see Finke breaking to the basket and hit him with a perfect bounce pass for a layup to win the game.

This might help our chances a little...

An interesting interview I thought I would share. Cool insight into what we think we know about in state recruits and their love/loyalty to Illinois.I listened to Matt ( Peoria Ill. native) tell Dan he was a big Illinois fan who saw many games while in high school. He ultimately chose Michigan over Illinois for college then transferred to Indiana.

Until our guys learn to play with PRIDE on Defense and start driving the ball on offense as opposed to settling for 3's, I'm gonna go way out on a limb (sarcasm coming, way for it) and predict we lose.

Time to put on the big boy pants and man up! Our guys don't even seem fazed when they get beat on D. And shooting jumpers all day long is not impressive, in fact it is soft. Get to the bucket, make some contact. Play like you care.

I wish we could get Altenberger, Bardo, Battle, Sergio, and Lucas Johnson back on campus for a practice to show our guys how Fighting Illini basketball is supposed to be played!

Did he say why he chose the schools that he did?

You can say whatever you want about this team, except that they don't care. They definitely care and they still play hard. I think our defense/rebounding has slowly improved over the course of the season. This will be a good test to see if that's true.

Great...

Finally, a game I can watch on TV for a change--I'm in Pennsylvania so my cable carrier doesn't think B1G--and it has to be Indiana. Not like there's any chance of it being really enjoyable. On the other hand, if it's enjoyable, it will be over-the-moon enjoyable. :whoo:
