Have been thinking that all night. But thinking they are still going to be feeling winded a bit from this eve. That was one hell of an effort to rebound from.

True, but at least Indiana had a close game with Maryland as well.

Our schedule really blows. Front end is loaded with road games and we finally have a little home-stand...but only 1 day off.

But IU has the same turnaround and also has to travel. So no excuses, these next 2 are when we have to prove that we are better than our record says.

4 of next 5 at home and very winnable. Start with this one and take care of business during the most favorable stretch of conference games, and I for one will feel a lot better.

There's a lot of satisfaction to be had to be 0-8, and then beat Indiana.

Probably more realistic, but if we can win our home games, and none of those teams are anywhere near the likes of MSU, OSU, or PU, we could go 5-2. I would be happy with 4-3, but that would mean losing at home to someone we should beat. Of course, I am basing that on if we play with, or at least something close to, last night's energy and tenacity.

Underwood: Interesting stat sheet last night. Get more shots than them by a large margin. Get outrebounded by a large margin. Turn them over at an alarming rate. Get outrebounded by an alarming rate. #Illini

Underwood: At the end of the day, felt better about our offense than I have in a long time. #Illini

Underwood: The more I watch the tape of the game and some of the stuff (Jaren Jackson Jr.) does ... he reminds me of Kevin Garnett at the same age.

Underwood: You get a 5-3 Indiana team coming in here. For us, it's about playing with the same kind of intensity and same kind of emotion. Keeping the same type of flow and ball movement. #Illini

Underwood: It's a fight every day (for team's culture). To be specific, it's not one thing. It's a conglomeration of who we want to be and how we want to do things. Could be as simple as how we leave the practice court every day. #Illini

Underwood: Mark (Smith) was really good. Mark's been really good. The problem has been keeping Mark on the court consistently because of fouls. Last night I thought he was in a great low, he got two steals. #Illini

Underwood: We talk about driving the basketball all the time. We scored 70 percent of the time when the ball touched the paint last year (at Oklahoma State). #Illini

Indiana is very good defensively. They're going to make us work to catch the ball. #Illini

watched WVU dismantle Texas in Morgantown over the weekend, and I cannot wait till my Illini is doing the same. On another note, kinda glad we missed on Shaka. I'm a glass half full guy and I believe that we have the right coach, Now we need to just give him time. I believe in Lovie as well.
I know, I know results. But honestly, quality will breed quality and its going to show.:shield:
