I am reasonably confident that ninth seeded Iowa has used up all their tournament miracle upsets at this point. If we come out confident, set the tempo, and play suffocating defense like we did against Houston and not give them open looks from 3, I think we can punch our ticket to Indy without all of us getting heart attacks. Hopefully, light practice tomorrow includes a healthy dose of shooting free throws.

Do not...DO NOT assume we walk through Iowa.

Keep the same mindset, recover and get ready for Saturday. Iowa is on a complete heater right now and I could care less about the line or their seed.

- Same defensive energy and I expect another great gameplan.
- Style will be way different, adjust and let's go to the damn Final 4.

WTF, let's keep that defense for 3 more games! I'd love to think it was a plan, but I'll take what ever it was.

Finally, bring the same effort for Iowa. They are playing great and we can sleep on them, seriously bring the same effort!!!!

Yeah I just can’t buy Iowa. They lost 6/8 to end the regular season. Then in the BTT they beat Maryland and lost to Ohio State

Somehow they put together 3 solid games in a row and really none of the Clemson, Florida, Nebraska games were flukes. They earned those wins. But IL is the better team. 3 games in March doesn’t change what Iowa has been all year.

Illinois vs Iowa would've been more likely when they had Luka Garza or the Murray twins but this is quite an unexpected matchup. But love the Big 10 classic rivalry in an Elite 8 matchup for all the marbles. We all know Illinois has more talent and the better overall team but so did Florida and so did Nebraska so let's hope our guys don't take it easy. They need to come in with the same intensity and the same focus+effort as they did tonight and they should be able to take care of business.
