WTF, let's keep that defense for 3 more games! I'd love to think it was a plan, but I'll take what ever it was.

Next, Wagler is smooth under presser, and I love me some crazy David. 2 double doubles, wow

Finally, bring the same effort for Iowa. They are playing great and we can sleep on them, seriously bring the same effort!!!!

Come Here Lets Go GIF by The Late Late Show with James Corden

Can’t imagine you will see another game from Boswell like he had tonight, so yeah final
4 bound!!!!

I mean, that graphic was probably true at the time, just after Purdue's win.
It can be true again tomorrow if MSU wins also.
This was taken after our game ended. Agree, when they made the graphic it was probably true. They kept it on the air probably 15-20 minutes past its expiration date.

Illinois opens -6.5

I’m surprised it’s that low.
Florida was -10.5, and Illinois is now ahead of them on Kenpom at #4.

I’d be hammering Illinois. I know the first game was 75-69 but IL dominated that game. I just think it ends for Iowa against a way better team. I’d expect that like to be 9-10 by game time.

On the plus side, this might be the first time this tournament where the opponent might not try the strategy of just straight up beating the life out of Illinois' offensive players and daring the refs to call fouls.

I realize anything can happen in a single game, But we are just SUCH a better team than Iowa it’s not even funny. They are a great match up for us. Not overly athletic, not tall. If I was an impartial handicapper, we should be favored by double digits. Now, we have to go out and prove it!!!

I'm reminded of Herb Brooks' sole words to the U.S. Olympic hockey team, having vanquished the invincible Soviets, at the intermission after the second period in the gold medal game v. Finland in February 1980, trailing 2-1:

"If you lose this game you'll take it to your fu&$%ng graves."

Then he began to walk out of the locker room, paused at the door, and turned around:

"Your fu&$%ng graves."

The players later noted that it was the only time they ever heard him utter profanity.

USA 4 Finland 2: GOLD MEDAL.

Beat Iowa. Decisively. :illinois:
