Illini Basketball Dancing GIF by Fighting Illini Athletics
Seems like yesterday that Gill, Anderson, Liberty and Bardo were sitting in LaBamba firing down burritos with the rest of us!

Iowa's last 10 games before the tournament they were 3-7, inlcuding bad losses to Maryland and Penn State. Did not see this coming.

Of course, we were 5-5, with 4 of the losses in OT.

Avoid OT and we have a shot.

Maybe we aren’t facing one of the three juggernauts, but don’t kid yourself, this will be one tough game. Iowa is playing an exceptionally well and more than anything is dictating the game to their opponents. We will likely have to win this game on Iowa’s terms.

That said, play our game I like our chances. Just like tonight if we take care of the ball, limit dribble penetration and battle on the boards we will be a tough team to beat. Find and hammer the mismatches and don’t settle for 3s.
They've won 3 straight tournament games including beating the defending champs. Obviously they're a really good team at this point.

Game watch in... Puerto Rico?

Anyone know of Illini-focused bars (or just somewhere that would reliably be showing Elite 8 games)?

True, but Stirtz played 33 minutes, one fewer than Wagler. The guy that hurt us the most was Banks with 16 points on 8-of-14 two-pointers. They took 29 threes, but hit only 9. We were 10-28 from 3. Outrebounded them 38-31 (Mirkovic with 12). We had 12 turnovers to their 8. Andrej had 17 points on 7-16 shooting and hurt them at the rim. They are playing their best basketball, but so are we. If the Illini keep playing defense the way they have in the tourney, I think they're headed to the Final Four.

I think there are going to be a LOT of tickets hitting the secondary market tomorrow. There were a ton of houston and nebraska fans. And the nebraska fans cleared out once they lost.
I was able to move down quite a bit, and was 5 rows behind the band member with the orange hair.
And our little group in section 126 got a bunch of ILL-INI chants going with the illini fan section. It was a blast!!!!
Anyone know of the Illinois ticket sections in the lower bowl so I don’t sit with Iowa fans?

My friendly advice for those thinking about grabbing tickets.

Don't be afraid to wait until tonight or even tomorrow to get them. Prices have already already dropped a ton with Houston and Nebraska losing and I expect them to keep dropping. I highly doubt there is enough demand to push prices back up.

Yeah and we beat them in the regular season too. Lol

Let’s hope we don’t have a letdown…and can get it done. At least Iowa doesn’t have anybody named Glen Rice on their roster.
Horrible memory.

According to Torvik, we now have the 2nd best odds to win it all and we’re the favorite to make the F4 and the championship game:

We've also already advanced to a round past Duke and Michigan. I would imagine a win for those teams tonight bumps their championship odds above ours. Even sitting 4th in odds is a good place to be! Or Duke and Michigan just lose tonight. That's even better.
