K Nunn may have put together some solid stat lines, but he has been off since he had his baby boy. A half of step slow, and making mental mistakes of a freshman. Can we get the man a nanny???

His first game back he was awesome. Last couple injured. Yes there were a couple games in between there we'd have liked to see more output, but I think we can cut him some slack. Well, I can anyway. ;)

And that's not a knock on us. Iowa is damn good, I thought they would be a terrible matchup for us even earlier in the season when I expected to have our players back from injury.

I don't care. Iowa still Sux!

Back in the day, on the now intolerable Scout board, there was a guy that always posted an aerial picture of Iowa's Kinnick stadium. There was a red arrow that pointed to somewhere around the 20 yard line on one end and it said "where I pooped" I guess he was there, was drunk late one night and he jumped a fence and left them a pile. Disgusting yeah, but hey, it's Iowa. :D

First half - 2-7
Second half - 7-2.

One down 6 to go.

It can happen!!

Yep, they are a very experienced team and Uthoff is having a national POTY type season. I imagine Malcolm will try to guard him, but that's a really tough assignment. Gesell isn't a great PG, but he's pretty good and very aggressive, which again is not something we've defended very well.

Oh, and they rebound the ball really well and make nearly 40% of their 3s.

Gesell is very similar to Abrams IMO. I think lots of us, me included, took for granted what Tracy gave to the team. Sure we all want a Melo Trimble but after watching Starks, Tate, and Lewis I would take a Tracy Abrams any day. Hopefully he's back to normal next season but I'm not getting my hopes up.

Abrams

I never understood why fans were so hard on Tracy, I always thought he was solid but not spectacular.

Look up his games on you.tube and you will see that we would be much better off with Tracey. He could hit the 3's and penetrate, and understood the position . He was a good rebounder for his height as well.

There were fans earlier this year on here that were saying that Tate was as good as Gessel. Speak about drinking the kool aid.:)

Hope Iowa overlooks us, but if they don't, I see an ugly result. I'll say 80-62, but we make up about 8 points with their bench on the court in the last couple minutes.

I would like to think that the team does not want a repeat of the Mich St. debacle to happen again, especially on home court.

I like your optimism! :thumb:
,

I wrote that without taking a look at the remainder of the schedule. I just did that. It's admittedly a long shot, but doable. And I'll stick to that. Been watching long enough to know.

I know I said I wasn't going to go to anymore games, but I'll be at this one. Rutgers game really changed my opinion on watching the team. And like other people have said, only get to go to so many games as a student. Already had a bad week so might as well enjoy the game, have some fun.

One way to get your disdain across. Guess I have no problem with it. :)

Glad to hear it! It's tough to give up on our team. When most people say they are fed up and not going to be a fan, I just write it off to their anger/disappointment getting the best of them at that moment. It always passes. Been there, done that, always back in time to watch the next game though, no matter what. :thumb:

It was clear in McCaffery's second year that he had them on the upswing. Even though they were young the played a tough and aggressive style. There would be nothing better than to knock them on their a**, but unless they don't come ready to play, I don't see how we have the horses to do that. I hope we are rested enough. Someone off the bench needs a coming out party on Sunday. Go Illini!

There seems to be several people who despise Iowa as much as others despise Indiana. Is that possible? :)
