Before the game. They announced it as we left SFC last night. People should be in their seats by 7:15 if they want to see the banner raisingWill they unveil the banner before the game or at half time?
Shannon is quicker which helps himNote to Rj. copy TS jr. recipe for success, Drive to the rim. You are athletic no need to shoot all of your shots from 3. Coaches will correct that quickly.
But you always take the open shot, and RJ's threes were very wide open.Note to Rj. copy TS jr. recipe for success, Drive to the rim. You are athletic no need to shoot all of your shots from 3. Coaches will correct that quickly.
So was the lane to throw down a monster dunk. Your ? He's athletic, can jump out of the gym. Your shot isn't falling drive to the rim. Heck get fouled 0-5 from the field all 3's. 1 pt.. in 20 minutes. He's to good for that Stat line, agreed. But you always take the open shot, and RJ's threes were very wide open.
Right…that’s how it’s supposed to work. But you always take the open shot, and RJ's threes were very wide open.
I had absolutely no problem with Bruce until the very end. And, after all this time and our newfound success, I definitely would not say I still have a problem with him. I think the stress of this job - WAY more "high profile" than many of our fans even admit, especially with the aspect of dealing with Chicago - got to him, and some of his understandable frustration came across as whiney and self righteous at times.Bruce Weber will be one of the B10 network announcers calling the UKMC game Friday. I know there are some strong feelings about him, but I always liked Bruce, and admired his coaching as he brought us to the national championship game. His recruiting skills were not optimal though, and played a big part in his downfall here.
I wonder if most people, Iike myself, are more dismayed about having to listen to his gravelly voice for extended periods than anything. Honestly, I think I'd rather listen to Crispin go on and on about Boeheim than listen to Bruce talk about anything. Dude's got just about the raspiest voice I've ever heard.I had absolutely no problem with Bruce until the very end. With that said, I will be curious to see what his style is like as a color announcer!

Part of my issue was sticking with assistants. Go down with the ship….I had absolutely no problem with Bruce until the very end. I agree . Coach Weber did have some great recruiting. His biggest mistake, quality assistants and letting them do their job. At Kansas St. His deep run in tournament and 3 years of success was when Coach Chester Frazier was his man! Running his practices and hybrid offense, and recruiting like the best recruiter in the country. I wish Coach Weber much success. He is a class act and accomplished some great things at Illinois.Part of my issue was sticking with assistants. Go down with the ship….
Before the ship goes down, replace some assistants: Change things up. Each assistant should aspire for a head coach job and if not now then in the future. Sometimes the coach needs to part ways if your assistants aren’t moving on/up.
Not related to Weber at all, and a random anecdote to boot, but I remind myself sometimes that once upon a time, not long ago, our big man coach and recruiter we leaned heavily on was *checks notes* …Dustin Ford. Oh, how far we have come.Part of my issue was sticking with assistants. Go down with the ship….

They’re gonna be tired with one day and travel. We were gonna win regardless but now I think I would pick us to coverTough loss in the opener for KC, leading Lincoln (MO) pretty much the whole game until the last couple of minutes.

I don’t fault him for taking those shots (now missing them is another story ), but that it was all we saw from him offensively is a bit troubling. First game and all and maybe that is gonna be his role this year or at least was for this game. Not panicking in the least. Just like CoHawk won’t shoot that well from 3 every night, RJ won’t always shoot that bad. But as I said in another thread, for RJ to take the next step he has to be more aggressive on offense. Didn’t show that in first game that’s all. Did think he showed some good aggressive play on D though. But you always take the open shot, and RJ's threes were very wide open.
Very interested to see the rotations on Friday compared to yesterday.

My main curiosity is Mayer. Agree that it will likely be the same though. Let them play and adapt as patterns solidify.Do you expect anything different? I think it will be pretty much the same game as EIU.
