Just as an FYI for anyone planning on going to this game, the state title football games will be going on at Memorial Stadium with two local schools (Williamsville in 3A and SHG in 4A) that will have pretty decent traveling fan groups from the Springfield area so parking will likely be at a premium in and around both Memorial Stadium and SFC.

Yikes good to know! Seems like it's going to be worth it to pay in advance for parking

I wish we wouldn't schedule so many cupcakes ranked in the 300+ range. Schedule more in the 200-300 range for the first two and then some in the 150-200 range for the rest.

These kinds of games are snoozers, especially after playing several big time games.

When did Lindenwood become D1? I used to play soccer against them in the good ole NAIA days and had no idea they were playing with the big boys now!

They just joined it this school year. They're part of the OVC with schools like EIU and SIUE. Southern Indiana was the other D-II to D-I transition school to join the OVC. Little Rock also joined the OVC but they have been D-I for awhile. Lindenwood was the only one of those 3 that played football this fall.

That’s pretty wild. I remember they went D2, but they transitioned to D1 quickly! Or maybe it wasn’t quickly and I’m just old.

Tough game for them this week, but by the looks of their schedule they aren’t scared of tough matchups. Good for them!

Well yeah but they do gotta get in some of those buy games too. That's part of the reason why you see EIU playing 3 B1G schools before conference play starts.

Just a thought. I feel like Black Friday games would be perfect for a early game. Maybe it has to do with football title games? I just think since most people are off the day after get like a 1pm game or something

I'm excited to see the offensive evolution. I'm looking for the 3pt rate to come down in exchange for some efficient 2pt looks around the rim, mainly because we will get Dain the ball more and our guards are will get better at getting downhill. I also think we will start connecting on the backdoor cuts a little better, and we have quite a few guys that can get some post touches other than Dain. Hawkins, Mayer, TSJ, and RJ could all do work down there with certain matchups. And if we want to get really greedy, maybe we start seeing the bulldog Rogers down in the post a little bit.

I also just don’t think they help the team grow. They need to struggle more progressively so they can learn what it takes to win but by bit while working out the kinks.

Don’t forget to cancel B1G+ if you haven’t already, so you don’t get stuck paying for it for another month.

What a shame this game is on B1G+. I refuse to pay for that ridiculous money grab scheme. Is the $1.2B network deal just not quite enough you need to squeeze a few more pennies from us loyal fans, Big Ten???? (I know the deal doesn't begin until July) Yet another insult from the out of touch conference bumblers.

Anyway enough griping, go Illini! Get tuned up, build the confidence back up, and get ready for an epic beatdown of Syracuse on Tuesday. I will wait and watch that one and the remainder of the schedule.
