Sorry, how soon on the big10 plus website are the replays on? I figure I will log on around 7:30 pm and watch a replay. Will it show the score or kee it hidden?

I have it on the btn app. Have scores turned off and for the southern game i watched it about an hour after the game ended.

This might be the toughest game yet. According to Brad Sturdy on Twitter...Marshall presses for 40 minutes, has some good 3pt shooters, and they can score a lot of points. I feel like everytime a mid major pulls off an upset, it's a team like this who simply gets hot and doesn't miss.

And it will be really interesting if they really do press for 40 minutes. We'll see if the freshmen can take care of the ball. Going to really need Tejon to step up.

2 things that I like to see in this game

1) More use of the offense, which sounds like low level chance of this since Marshall will press. So, handling the press with few turnovers and more 3pt attempts, need to shoot outside, although we see going to hoop has been working.

2) Less reaching on defense, seems we pick up more fouls for reaching over and around than anything. Drew many charging fouls 1st half of DePaul game, because they got in position, moved the feet. We swarm the ball well, love to see that.

AJ is doing great, really aggressive, hope Alstork can get his game going. Think Smith is right on his game, drives hard makes FT. TJL has to stop early fouls, someone said once he sits he loses his flow , I agree. Williams, Frazier getting better every game. Finke and Black need to continue there solid play and leadership, Finke is a changed player. Hustling and fighting.

We should win, 91-75. ;):illinois:

This is a very talented bunch of players and the Bat Signal is showing Bright Orange in the Sky for ILLINI Nation.

AJ is going to be a secret weapon early on in games before coaches can scout him. He is in the gym every morning at 6:45 every day shooting just to get better. Many times he is there before any coaches on his own shooting shots. To me that is Marine Corps type Dedication material in respect to pushing yourself to be the best.

I am a huge fan of AJ and his family.

We're tied for most free throws made/game for teams with more than 3 games. 4th overall for all teams. So at least we're getting to the basket.

And yet, it isn't even his shooting that is getting him clock. He really developed his all around game this offseason.

Biggest worry I have with this game is going against a press team with only one day of prep. Generally want a lot more practice going against a defense like that.

Concerned about TJL... Seems to be turnover prone when pressed. Also we have a lot of Freshmen ballhandlers.

Maybe this is a game where we see Alstork handle the ball more, playmaking role.

Either way, hate Sunday games... In the past we've come out sluggish or ended sluggish (Tenn Martin).

That depends. Do you have at least $6 to spare?

WF is not in a good place right now. A loss to "lowly" Illinois might be hard to stomach.

"...lowly Illinois" and that "baseball player with a bad arm, second coming of JC Mark Smith." Would have loved to go to that game but will be out of town. Still fun to see how quickly and violently they went from "Ayo's mind says WF" (because of wonder coach Manning) to grabbing the pitch forks.

Getting to the foul line is a vast improvement over previous regimes. We are ranked 15th in the country currently per KenPom, granted small sample size.
55.2 FT/FGA National rank 15th
16/17 32.5 rank 263
prior years 30.5 322
31.2 315
31.2 341
31.0 295
30.4 309 BW
28.2 336
special year 2005 28.8 314th
Last year this shows green is 2002 under Self in 2002 44.6 29th
2007 and 2008 were at least mediocre, 36.5 174; 37.2 151st

Granted the refs we had have been foul happy. But this indicates a much more aggressive offense. We have generally been horrible at this. Hail BU!
GO ILLINI!

I'm interested to see what a BU team attacking the press looks like, vs a JG team that just tried to break and reset.

Could be dunk city or TO city. Most likely a combination of both.

ties will be resolved
Want to see: a win (doh!), team progression (especially offensively), less fouling, less unforced turnovers/better care of the ball. Individuals: Alstork getting untracked, TJL avoiding foul trouble. Loving our depth and intensity.

I can only compare against this board because I don't get around much but that board was ridiculous around the Ayo days. They language and all was really overall pretty bad.

As a point of reference, KenPom has Wake Forest ranked 74 to our 99. It currently gives them a 71% chance to beat us in 9 days. In case anyone hasn't been following, Wake has lost to Georgia Southern, Liberty, and Drake. Picked up their first win against Quinnipiac yesterday.

:huh::confused:

Dang.

“Danny Manning is a good coach.” -Wake fans pre Ayo decision.
