Peters should be back. We will need Good Brandon to have a chance. We also need the defense to find some answers. Bielema talked like guys are not making the right reads or making them too late. Gotta get something working there. You don’t have to have great athletes to play a sound defense. That’s probably my biggest disappointment so far. Walters has his work cut out for him.

You need 11 fast guys on defense. You need 5 on offense.

They have to shore up the db's and what they are doing between the hashes. The TE for VA was a beast. The whole problem is no pass rush. You have got to blitz him, plus throw in some different looks by playing 6 db's and rush 5. On offense. I would like to see more of McCray. He will break one shortly. Was Love hurt because I think he only carried once. Jeresaty is not beig enough to play center in the BT. We have to have someone that can play center. When you look at him you see why he played FCS football. Hope Kraemer can be back.

The linebackers were just letting the TE run right past them like he was a ghost. It's like the backers were just anchoring 4-5 yards off the LOS and didn't pick up anyone that ran a route past them. Not sure if they were concerned about the QB running or what. They at least need to cover him until the safety can pick him up. D looked lost and not having pressure just magnified the blown assignments and just flat out getting burnt.

Probably an unpopular opinion but I can sorta understand Lovie's willingness to part with like half the roster at this point. I think "getting your guys" is more of a thing than a lot of us on the outside realize.

He meant Lovie was parted with all of the roster because he was...fired.
To add to the long list of what he meant, I think he meant that Lovie pretty much benched the seniors and played all the freshmen he recruited at this point so they could gain experience even though we would lose a lot of games. That being said BB doesn't have very many recruits on the field currently save a few transfers.

Based upon past precedent, I thought he might have waited until Friday to publicly announce this.

With that said, I certainly think it's the right call and it proves we're still trying to win games this year (as we should, particularly since we're in 1st place in the West Division). BP provides a bigger/better arm, the ability to run the ball on occasion and more familiarity with the offense.

However, if we lose three more in a row, we'll need to revisit this discussion. The final six games on the schedule look daunting right now, and we may need to start playing all the young guys in order to prepare for the future.

with Zook running the Terps special teams, one has to wonder if they use the “ swinging gate “ on extra points like we did when he was HC here.

Zook was a good guy . He just was a terrible game and clock manager . Plenty of strengths & plenty of other weaknesses , but his lack of coaching acumen from kickoff to the last tick on the clock at games end sticks out as his worst weakness

It appears that Zook is special teams coach. I am feeling some optimism creeping in...
According to Maryland's football website, Zook is "Associate Head Coach/Special Teams Coordinator/Outside Linebackers Coach".

I don't know when it will it happen, but I believe over the season we will see things start to "click" with our team. I am not sure how many games we will win, but I am confident by the end of the season we will at least see a glimmer of the light at the end of the tunnel. We have a staff of competent, professional coaches that will turn things around. ILL!
