Underwood says they spent the last couple of days talking about effort and energy. Hope we can avoid another slow start tomorrow. We won't play every game like 2nd half NU, but if we can be more consistent effort and energy wise, we're going to win a ton of games.

After starting off 4-0 (vs. literally nobody), Maryland has lost 6 out of 8 games - the two wins being vs. La Salle at home and a seemingly fluke win at #6 Wisconsin. Obviously, anything can happen in the Big Ten, but these guys have lost three in a row by double digits, including losing by 22 at home to Iowa on Thursday. We should handle the Terps, and I would be disappointed if we don't, considering the killer instinct we had going in the second half of the NU game. I will predict optimistically!

I think Grandison has been playing better, and eating into his minutes. I like what both have been bringing off the bench, but there's only so many minutes to go around. Let's hope this turns into a blow-out today so they can both get some more time!
I'm totally happy with them battling each other for minutes. You want the competition.

Also, DMac way underrated historically in terms of point guards at UI.
DMac was a beast. I’d take a guy like him in every recruiting class. So good.

He was way out by himself and really got to load up. Potentially a snapshot of his ceiling but not necessarily his normal.
But still awesome to watch.

I was tghere gtoo. My shuttle was rather subdued. I was having a dicussion with another Illini at normal tone level that I'm sure the whole bus could hear, just stuff like where in Illinois we were from and such. I got the impression that their number 3 team nearly getting skunked by unranked Illinois was a little disconcerting.
That said, yes, kick some heinie.
