We have a talented team but enough is enough. In my opinion Illinois should not have 5 losses .We got robbed by the refs at Michigan State so I don’t blame Underwood for that but the USC and Northwestern losses falls on Underwood . No excuses or sympathy for Underwood. Illinois has a top 5 NBA lottery pick a ton of NIL some of best basketball facilities in all of college basketball and Underwood is one of the highest paid college basketball coaches in the country. It’s sweet 16 time nothing less . No more losing to bad teams this season. Underwood has to earn his money from here on out . No more excuses

I appreciate the passion. I would say that the 'lessons have been learned.' We've been in hostile environments, slept walked, looked past a team, humbled others. We've dealt with injuries, foul trouble, slumps. It's not December anymore... It's nearly February. Let's put all this into practice and go on a historic run.

Mich State was a poorly officiated game, USC the Illini did not have KJ. Even so the this jumped up 2 places in the men's top 25. Tha is telling me something. Also it how this team plays at the end of Feb, beginning of March and in the Big 10 tourney and the Big Dance.

Alabama: Our 4th game playing together against one of the nation's best teams on (for all intents and purposes) their home turf.

Northwestern: Young team's first B1G road game.

Tennessee: Two point loss to then #1 team in the country.

USC: No KJ, but agree that this is one you just shouldn't lose.

MSU: B1G road game against an Izzo team that became a top 10 team the next day. We have actually never beaten a top 10 ranked Tom Izzo team in East Lansing. And the only time we've ever beaten a top 15 Tom Izzo team in East Lansing was in 2005.

From my perspective, we've only lost one game we shouldn't have and we've won two B1G road games (in dominant fashion) that, prior to the season, we weren't supposed to. We're in really good shape. Brad has done a great job with this roster. Regardless of how talented a team is, getting them to play together in such short order is no easy feat. See Arkansas.

I agree with you though, that our period of jelling and learning through tough losses should be over. It's time to go on a run, win the games we're supposed to, and see if we can put ourselves in a position to get a share of the title in the last week @ Michigan and vs Purdue.

Ask Michigan about how much of a breather Minnesota was for them. If we haven't learned by now that we need to come correct every game, we better learn quick.
How about Michigan and Northwestern going overtime at Ann Arbor? Same thing.

We have one bad loss without KJ, why make your first post negative? Underwood has done a great job and is not perfect like you seem to be.

Yeah let's just schedule softer so there's no way we have 5 losses in mid-late January. We have one bad loss so far. We should have beaten the housecats but that's still a quad 1 loss. I think Underwood has earned the benefit of the doubt here. In the last 4 years, he's led us to 1 conference title (arguably should have been 2), 2 conference tourney titles, and an elite 8. That should earn some pretty good trust from you.
