I'm also seeing a 3 seed in our future, which is fine, unless we get boxed out of St. Louis. The Midwest Regional isn't happening, so our only hope for a home type of crowd would be St. Louis. Hopefully, that's not slip sliding to Purdue.

We have length and interior Purdue doesn’t have outside of TKR. And if you remember, TKR was easily the best player on the floor.
Yes their perimeter defense is elite, but what got Purdue back in the game was grinding down low. Tomi, Z, and Mirk need to be elite if we want to win.
And they are. The kids are gonna be alright. Let this one be fuel for the fire.
It’s on tape at this point that the way to beat Illinois is to get up in us and play very physical, which is what Michigan does.
Z especially has no post game. It’s mainly Mirk unless Tomi gets a smaller player switched onto him.
Hopefully, they get the memo. Had a massive size advantage tonight… took a bunch of 3’s. Tomi was 4-4 inside the arc. Z was 3-4. They combined 2-7 from 3. I though when Tomi got the easy bucket to start OT, maybe we had figured it out…

Yep, as I said in the post game, it reminded me of last year. If the threes don't fall, we have to get it inside. However, this season, they always start to fall at some point. Just not tonight.

When you lose games to teams you should beat (Alabama, Wisconsin, UCLA), you lose your margin for error. Illinois is probably staring a 4 seed squarely in the face if they lose this one.

It’s funny. There were people that thought Duke was overrated in a weak ACC and that we wanted them in our bracket. They beat Michigan on a neutral. But Michigan is going to smother us and blow us out?
Sure that could happen. But expecting that as the most likely thing? That’s a take.
We need to run our offense instead of just jacking 3’s. The 3’s will come when we run the offense. We need to drive and dish.
