I watched Michigan st last night, not impressed. What terrifies me I re watched our game and Our 3 pt. Defense is still just absolutely Horrible. Thank God Nebby shot horribly, especially in 1st half cuz we left men wide open behind the arc. Please fix Illini men your 2 athletic and talented to be getting lost. On D and leaving shooters wide open.

Juse watched PennState and Lundy and funk go 14 of 22 from 3 pt line. As a team they go 18 of 31. Gotta guard the arc in today's game.

Coleman please take it to the Rim more and punish it. Leave the screaming and flexing at opponents bench in locker room. No stupid technicals. Rj and Coleman attack the rim Men!
Bro I'm on record as seriously questioning Coleman Hawkins abilities... But when you dunk like he did, you flex and scream. That's basketball 101. Otherwise, pretty good observations.

I agree 💯, but not in college. Not tolerated usually. Sencire got that "t" and literally cost momentum and maybe a W. Thats why I've always questioned Colemans Bball iq! Puzzling quite often. No doubt talent is there. Makes me wanna slap my dog! 😆

It happens all the time in college basketball with every team, we are all just still nervous after the ridiculous technical on RJ last year.

The officials have cracked down on the screaming, flexing and turning and loooking at the bench this year. This is generally in all conferences across the country . Surprised Coleman Hawkins did not get teed up the other night.

Wonder what the coaches are doing. It is their responsibility to manage such things.

I was too. Not so much for his actions alone but where it took place — facing and right in front of Nebraska bench.

Whadda think... if he just looked up at the ceiling when he did it, would he get teed up? I suspect not, and it should be easier to just tell him to look straight up when he does it, than tell him to not do it at all.

I'm in the "don't do it at all" camp. Act like you've been there and big plays are such a consistent part of your game that you don't need to celebrate.

The easy example of bad optics on this is when 'lil Hunty did a Hulk Hogan flex after dunking on a guy that was around 6'2". I mean, if that got you excited, Hunty, you're going to get chewed up and spit out in the NBA. Or the G-League. Or summer league.

Our downfall is 3 pointers. Over the last 4 games, throwing out Wisconsin, we were 8-28, 8-28, and 8-29. And Underwood tells them to keep shooting. Ugh. I wish we still had Andres Feliz. He would drive the lane fearlessly.

I like a little passion on display.

But agree that Hawkins over does it at times. What kind of bugged me as much as the flexing and yelling after the dunk was posing after hitting his corner three while everyone else was turning and getting back down the court. He played well though and if he plays like that every game, I'll grab some popcorn and enjoy the theatrics.

Didn’t they change the rule to be more lenient about the rim hanging that cost RJ a technical last year, or did I just imagine it in my weird, vodka induced dreams

The taunting thing is soooooo subjective, can‘t they make it a common foul? Or is It already a common foul? Again, vodka influenced comments 😊

No, the call on RJ last year was completely incorrect at the time and should have led to that referee being reprimanded.
