So what you are saying is I should take the OVER. Got it.

Imagine telling your team not to shoot anymore. Best case scenario is the next game lasts literally forever in a 0-0 tie.
lol. An approximate basketball analogue of Lou Tepper @ Minnesota, Nov. 1996.

As NL # 3 and I were talking aboot what our pre game day would consist of , we decided to do some lounging around in bed this morning and try to answer the burning question of what edition of the Fighting Illini will show up tonight..............

We replayed the bucky and nebby games , as it was considered to painful to replay the mildcats game and deleted it from our DVR list.......

The replay of the games was exciting and got my mind racing , so we paused early on in the bucky game 2 minutes in and I took my meds and we both did some enhanced meditation techniques to allow the brain to slow down and process intel while watching said games......

First off , it was easy for me to see a lingering subliminal anger just below the surface in the faces and action's of the Illini before the tip off in both games...

Intriguing

a lot more talking among the Illini.............
faster foot movement on defense in both games......
hardly any switching on D................more allowing fellow Illini a gap to stay on original assigned man D...............
a more robust approach to the offensive end................
crisper passes.........more solid screens set
more Illini crashing the boards
decided change and uplifting rate of pace and attack mode when Epps and Rodgers came in...................change of pace to throw opponents off....

I told NL# 3 something had changed..................The double digit loss to the mildcats did something that has affected the Illini in a positice way.....
Like an embarrassment......an enough is enough mantra......an acknowledgement that something had to change......
An event horizon..............................I could see it in their eyes.......
And lo and behold, that has been somewhat of what we have seen in the Illini's play in the last two games...........

So , I for one , will refer to the Fighting Illini's record this year as follows :

Overall record
11-5 ..................

B$G record.......
2-3

Phoenix record.................
2-0

I might be so far off that I fully missed the boat , but there were more smiles , hand slaps ,huddle ups and body language that told me
a change was afoot.................

I realize tonight's game is such a big game ......to get back to .500 in the conference.........

Illini 75

LETS GO ILLINI........ !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

At some point she can't be NL anymore if she stays over every night...

Hold your shape on d and stay at home on their shooters, run the offense and get good shots for your teammates, and dunk on some fools. MSU isn’t really a team that bullies you anymore, so take advantage of it and just stuff these guys in a locker. Let’s go.
Be wary of Sissoko cheap shot.

I was nervous about the Nebraska game. I am much less nervous about this game, based upon the following not-quite syllogistic reasoning:

If MSU beats Illinois tonight, they could win the B1G championship.
MSU is not going to win the B1G championship.
Therefore, MSU will not beat Illinois tonight.

A little trick that usually gets you pretty close to the line.

Take the Kenpom adjem of team #1 rounded to the nearest whole number, then subtract the adje of team #2, and add 3 points for the home team.

In this instance:
Illinois adjem = 18
MSU adjem = 15
Add 3 to Illinois for playing at home.

18-15+3=6
Wait, I thought the order of operations was addition and then subtraction?!

15+3=18
18-18=0

So tonight's game is a pick'em?

Leaving Chicago now. Will be a race to get there by tip, but I'm driving inspired.

Also, just realized today is Friday the 13th and with Sissoko coming to town, I'll be at least a little disappointed if we don't come out wearing protective hockey masks.

Prediction: we slash our way to an 11 point win.

Impeccable logic. You, sir, are a genius.

Team attitude and chemistry seems much improved last 3 games

Better defense, passing and execution of offense. Success breeds success :hailtotheorange:
